Hello friends! I'm @drcypto1 from #pakistan and I warmly welcome all of you to my post. I hope that you all will be fine and will be enjoying your lives. Today I'm going to participate in the SLC-S21/W1 organized by @solaymann and @mahadisalim. The topic is "Introduction to basic electronics". Let's start the topic;
A. Identify the electrical tools in the picture and mention the name and function |

1. Soldering iron: This tool is used for joining either electronic or electric components by using solder. Solder can be of two types wire solder and of a gel type.
2. Adjustable wrench: This tool is used for tighting or loosing any nut of electric machine while we are doing any electrical work.
3. Long nose plier: This tool is used to grip small objects which are in tight condition.
4. Cutter: Cutter is used for cutting the cables and wires.
5. Plier: Plier is used for gripping and joining the cables or wires and also for sometime cutting purpose when there's cutting no available.
6. Star screw driver: This tool is used for loosing or tighting star shape nuts or screws.
7. Flat screw driver: This is used for tie, untie or turn the flat shape screw or nuts.
8. Analog multimeter: Analog multimeter is a digital electronic device used for measuring current, voltage, resistance and many other parameters.
9. Tri-hex key: These are three keys of different sizes used for tie or untie the hexagonal nuts or bolts.
B. Suddenly, the power supply to your house has been cut off.Check electricity presence and also measure it. |

If the power supply has been cut off to my house, for checking whether the electricity is coming or not in the main power point (in my area we call it DP) first I use neon tester. If the light of neon tester is on while checking the electricity it is confirm that electricity is present in the electric board.
Than for measuring I have used digital electric meter. After checking I have came to know that 131 votls current is coming to electric board which is normal. Supply voltage of my home is 231 volts and I have measured this by digital electric meter.
These two steps has been approved the presence of electricity. First by checking through neon tester and second one by measuring the current by digital electric meter.
C. Make a circuit |

First I managed all the tools which are used for this procedure. Also I have bought 15 ampare light plug for this course. Let's start my work
• After reading the instructions and label about company and it's power I have opened it.
• Than I unscrew the light plug and separate it's parts before making connection.
• Also I pealed the wire which I have to use for making the connection in the light plug sockets.
• After that I proceed further procedure. As screw are open I put the both wires in socket.
• First I use common piece of wire than another electric wire for giving the current to all sockets of the light plug.
• Than I measure the current coming in the light plug. I use digital electric meter for this purpose. The measurement is full same as coming in the main board which is shown above.
D. Precautions |

I know self protection is very necessary before starting the electric work because it is very dangerous. That's I have done precautions before starting my job.
• I powerd off all the buttons and main power before contacting with the electric wires.
• I used insulated tools for doing my task. I know if use the tools with damage insulation, it could very harmful for me.
• Beside this I have made the connection very carefully after seeing all the colours of wires. I know if I do wrong connection of wires it could damage all the electric wiring of the house.
It is very interesting task which I have done and learn about basic of electricity. Also I came to know about electric hand tools and their use after completion this task. At the end I'm inviting @josepha, @neelofer, @hudamalik for participating in this contest.

You mentioned 9 equipment names and functions in your first point. Your description and names were correct. The second tool is also known as range. The names of the tools and the presentation of the work are well done.(2)
An active rule tester is clearly visible to you for testing the presence of electricity. You have gained proper knowledge to check if there is a sudden power outage at home. Your clear picture and description of this point is correct. Measure your house supply voltage and its correct reading as you mentioned.(2)
Point C is somewhat confusing. The connection you mentioned in your post is a two pin socket connection.In the course you were instructed to make a multi-socket connection, but you did not complete it. But your two pin socket connection is correct. But it is different with the desired question. You will understand the multi socket connection properly by paying attention to the course.(3.3)
It is very important to take precautions during your activities. As an electrician, the precautions mentioned by you must be effective. You can use hand gloves if you want to be more comfortable. Also it is better to use eye glasses. There are times when a faulty electrical connection can cause sparks, which can damage your eyes. So it is better to be careful in electrical field . (1)

Nice work ! How much was that socket outlet in Pakistan. I see it support all the types of electrical ports.
