Ryzen R7 1700: A Cryptonight Hydra.

in electroneum •  7 years ago  (edited)

Ryzen R7 1700, AMD's most optimized desktop class CPU is a beast CPU in mining. It has 8 cores, each cores can do ~ 70 h/s in cryptonight mining, totaling around 560-600 h/s.

That's roughly equal to US$ 2 per day if you're mining electroneum.

It's a powerful beast, and with its many cores, it's also a nimble beast. You can assign each core to different pool (and different coin) if you want.

The secret is XMR STAK CPU ability to just lock one or two CPUs per command windows. Just copy and paste XMR STAK CPU folder as many as you want and assign each core for each pool (and coin) you want.

Why would we want to do it, anyway, splitting your cpu to different ways?

We want it if we want to ensure that we're not idling and not mining at all when one pool is down due to anything. This idea came to me after experiencing six weeks of constantly changing pools due to pools being victims of hackings and DDOS.

So Ryzen R7 1700 once again proof itself to be THE CPU for cryptocurrency miners.

Just spreading the love. I know we disagree on a lot. But this one was just a straight up helpful guide. So it deserved it.
