Self Build! New Electroneum Mining Rig.

in electroneum •  7 years ago

So I build my new electroneum mining rig myself.

It has:

Ryzen R7 1700
MSI X370 Gaming Plus
RX 580 8GB
RX 570 4GB
RX 460 4GB

They are inside a Cougar Panzer Max casing

The whole system:

I still have one problem for this rig:

At the beginning, I can connect the whole rig, while mining using the three GPUs, to the network using a USB Wireless Adapter. Now it can't, it can only connect to the wireless network when mining using two GPU only. Once I activated the third one, it's no longer working.

I don't know the exact culprit: is it the wireless logitech keyboard/mouse that I tried, the installation of afterburner, or something else.

I may either move the two VEGA 56 I have on the other rig to this one or try fresh install of windows again to see if it works, and try at least installing afterburner.

I have problems with this rig. The RX 580 8 GB now always hang or disconnected when used for mining. This is after I moved my HDMI cable from it to the RX 460 4GB. Someone can help me?

Turn out the problem is the voltage settings. I manually set the voltage to 1050 mV on the card and it works like a charm. Also I let the fans on auto but set the temperature limit at 75 oC

I am interested in building one of these. How much does it cost to buy the components? Is there an off the shelf computer that can mine Electronium?
Thanks for sharing the know how.

You can the cost check yourself and adjust the cost like 10%

Thanks, man. Good luck.

That is an awesome rig! I bet you will be able to mine alot of Electroneum or even Vertcoin or whatever you decide.

Yes, I hope so :)

Nice

Please follow me, my friend,

Love that mobo. Got one sitting in my cart at newegg. Im going Ryzen 5 and hope to upgrade after a while to a 1700x. I'm also going to be buying a couple of hdd and do some burst mining.

I know burst isnt the mosr profitable thing out there but with GPU prices being what they are I can buy 12gb worth of hdd for less than a middle of the road gtx 1060.

you want to say 12 TB, right?

Can't believe I flubbed like that. Most definitely 12 TB not GB...not sure what i was thinking there lol.

So what's the rate of plotting now? I tried burst but the plotting length time is taking too much precious time that I can use to mine other coins otherwise.

Not sure on thw exact rates I've been seeing that the Ryzen CPUs are quite a but quicker when it comes to plot times.

Update on the rig. Now I have six fans inside the casing. Four intakes, two exhausts. The intakes are on the three on the front and one the bottom. The exhausts are one on the rear and one on the rear-top.

My CPU, 3.7 Ghz @1.25v are humming at 60 oC
My GPUs tempt are:
RX 460 78 oC at 75% fan
RX 570 78 oC at 75% fan
RX 580 65 oC at 755 fan.

So the GPU temps are bit on the high side, but the GPUS are not throttling at all.
