Hello and welcome to my post Steemians!!
Today I am writing my post about two topics Antenna Size and Antenna Support in the Antenna Wave Propagation. In my post by reading different sources and collecting information I tried to give the detailed information about the project and how it will going to work. Apart from that your thoughts and opinions heartily welcome!
Let us visit the post to know more about it!!

Antenna Size:
There is a general proportionality between Antenna Size and the Wavelength at the frequency of operation. Large antennas are sometimes used at short wavelength (high frequencies) to obtain a highly directional Radiation pattern and high gain in a preferred direction. However, there is a practical limitation beyond which further increase of size hardly produces any gains due to maintenance of Phase) relationship becoming difficult. Antenna of as much as 100 (lambda) in any dimension is considered electrically large.
At long wavelength very small antennas may be employed for receiving purpose if the efficiency is not important. An antenna appreciably less than a (lambda/2) is termed as electrically small. In general large antennas are those employed employed at the very low frequency specially for transmitting where radiation efficiency is not important.`
Antenna Support:
An antenna be situated at the clear location for better results. It should be away from big conducting or absorbing objects. Accordingly there should be some supporting structure so that the radiating elements are in clear location.
Antennas are usually supported by devices like Mast, Pedestal and Tower. Towers are needed when height requirement is more. Mast may also be quiet high but they are generally as short as a few meters only.
Pedestal are the base structure of antennas for which height is not important as the strength. Sometimes antennas may be directly installed on vehicles or aircraft on spacecrafts, i.e, satellite and in such case no intermediate support are needed.
Further sometimes tower and mast themselves are used as antennas instead of as support. For example: broadcasting vertical transmitting tower.
