in electrum •  7 years ago  (edited)

Update. As Electrum 3.0.4 did not solve the main security issue there was another version released, 3.0.5.

A new Electrum wallet is out with the version number 3.0.4. This is an important security update as it "fixes a vulnerability caused by Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) in the JSONRPC interface. Previous versions of Electrum are vulnerable to port scanning and deanonimization attacks from malicious websites. Wallets that are not password-protected are vulnerable to theft."

Make sure you download Electrum wallet from the official site: https://electrum.org/
