In very distant times in one Indian settlement lived a beautiful and wise girl, and her name was Salvia. Despite the fact that Salvia was young, among the inhabitants she was known as an experienced sorceress and a wise witch - she had such abilities by nature.
The girl's outfit always consisted of a scarlet shirt and a green cape, and a ribbon embroidered with multicolored flowers adorned her hair.
On the cold evenings a fire was lit for the girls of the tribe and they gathered around him and they called Salvia to tell fortunes to the future bridegroom. Predicting Salvia as follows: took a few branches of a special plant and threw them into the fire, and the girls, peering at him, could see the image of the groom.
Predictions of Salvia came true and all of its contemporaries met their fiancees. In the fire, Salvia repeatedly tried to see her fiance, but as soon as the image of the young man began to loom in the flames of fire, he immediately carried this image to heaven. Many, many times, the girl made attempts, but Fire greatly loved Salvia and did not want her to marry.
One day, the girls of the tribe decided to go to the forest for berries. In that forest the berries were juicy and the weather was wonderful. Suddenly, the wind began to intensify and brought the smell of burning and smoke.
Suddenly, a young man ran up to the edge, his name was Sage, he was known as a doctor in a neighboring tribe. He was chased by a forest fire, promptly catching up to the young man, he triumphantly crackled the tongues of flame.
The girls fled in panic, but Salvia stood without stirring, and peered into Sageya's face-this was her betrothed. The fire that overtook the youth brought Salvia to life, she had the gift to protect people from misfortune, and ordered the raging fire to stop. The fire subsided, and the young man could run out into the clearing to Salvia, where the young could not take their eyes from each other - their hearts were beating so hard. At that moment the strength of the girl was weakened and the fire was again flamed with a fierce flame.
The girl ordered the fire to stop, for a moment he died down, but then again he resisted the forces of Salvia, which was increasingly weakened. Then the fire began to extinguish the young man. The cloak with which Sage tried to calm the fire did not help them much, and the fire pushed them further into the depths of the forest, denying the possibility of escape ... Whose victory was the battle ended - nobody knows, but since then no one has seen them.
Girls from the tribe were very bored by Salvia and often went to the place where young people caught fire. In one such walk, the girls noticed an unusual plant that had never been seen before. The plant was in full bloom, its bright flowers were very similar to the decorations of the tape of Salvia. The plant said: "I am the daughter of Salvia, she lives far away, in the land of the setting sun." Happy girls wanted to caress the plant, and then a few brown seeds fell on their hands. Girlfriends decided that this message from Salvia, took the seeds and ran into the village. The next morning they decided to visit the wonderful plant again, but it disappeared.
The girls planted the seeds and the plant was called Salvia. Salvia blossomed with different wondrous flowers, its colors - white, purple, scarlet, yellow, pink and blue.
