Two days ago i have visited a National galery in Minsk. The was a first day of exhibition of belarusian contemporary artist which name is Victor Alshevski. It was my first time seeing his artworks and i was amazed how beautiful and meaningfull his paintings are. Also Victor Alshevski was the and was telling a story about how those paintings were made and what sence he brought in it.
A few words about artist. Victor Alshevski was born in 1953 in Vuhoĺščyna village, Mogilev region. In 1972 he graduated from Rebublican Boarding school for music and Fine Arts. In 1980-1984 he worked in the creative workshops of the Academy of Arts of the USSR in Minsk. The artist works are exhibited in the national museum of the Republic of Belarus, The Museum of Modern Fine Arts in Minsk, the Tretyakov in Moscow, the central House of artists exhibition Association in Moscow, art galleries of ,Germany, Poland, Italy ,France, Spain, Portugal, Great Britain, Austria, USA and other countries.
His style is very uniqe. He likes to use oil paints and great eat with gold and silver panals. Victor Alshevski likes to combine patient and contemporary Styles in his artworks , also he shows main problems of the humanity in his paintings. The main inspiration is Minsk. He told us when he was young he wanted to become an architect and that is why in his works are a lot of architectural buildings such as Palace of Sports, Mirský castle and other.
