Hi, dear friends!

Today I want to show you some of my drawings of butterflies in watercolor. I became interested in watercolors about two years ago when I watched some inspiring video tutorials. It seems to me that it happened in that period of my life, when it was especially necessary for me. Watercolor changed my life. I found a hobby that made my life more colorful and saturated.

I am convinced that you need to draw something that really inspires. For me it's butterflies, flowers, landscapes. Nature is amazing. During this period, I drew a lot of butterflies, but not all drawings have survived. I gave some of my works to my friends and relatives.

This is one of the last watercolor butterflies. It's a quick sketch. Butterfly Lycaenidae. These butterflies I often see in meadows and fields, in the park.

And here are two butterflies in watercolor, which I painted about a year ago.

On the right is the butterfly Lycaenidae and on the left is the butterfly Pieris brassicae.

And here is another butterfly watercolor, which I painted specifically for my best friend, who lives in another country. Here I tried to show more details and more clearly draw the wings of a butterfly.

This is the only photo of this picture that remains from that time. I've posted this photo before on Steemit. Now this butterfly in a beautiful frame hangs in my friend's room and reminds her of me.

Butterflies are beautiful insects. I think that butterflies inspire me to be creative most of all.

This year I also started painting with oil paints. And my first painting is a butterfly. But I'll tell you about it next time.
