We are sure that a few weeks ago you did not know what Bitcoin or Blockchain were. Truth be told the media has done a fantastic job publishing, Spreading the news, and increase in the hype on the nine year old technology. What need to be aware of is that Universities have been teaching courses in regards to bitcoin and blockchain.
The reason this is important is for the simple fact that the financial industry has stated that bitcoin would not go anywhere for many years, that it is too volatile and that people would never stop using current FIAT aka money. This in my opinion is their strategy to keep people that cannot invest at bay, so that investors in big Wall Street can invest their money to yield high returns. Now I ask you, if millennials are being taught this at Universities around the world why wouldn't you invest? Here is a list of the top 10 World Universities teaching bitcoin and chainblock technology courses. If universities are teaching this technology perhaps we should entertain investing in this technology.
1. Princeton University – USA
Locate in Princeton New Jersey’s Princeton University offers a related course called Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Technologies. This course addresses important questions about Bitcoin such as:
- How does Bitcoin work?
- How secure are your Bitcoins?
- What might the future hold?
- What makes Bitcoin different?
- How anonymous are Bitcoin users?
- What determines the price of Bitcoins?
- Can cryptocurrencies be regulated?
2. Duke University – USA
Duke University, located in Durham County of North Carolina. Is offering a cryptocurrency course named Innovation, Disruption and Cryptoventures. This course is not designed to go in depth of Bitcoin it has been designed to teach how it will disrupt current industries and technologies.
3. New York University (NYU) – USA
In late 2014 NYU started offering blockchain and bitcoin classes.
The Law and Business of Bitcoin and Other Cryptocurrencies. This course goes in full depth of what bitcoin is and and other alternative payments methods for the future.
Digital Currency: Revolution in Money and Payments? This course is in regards to digital currencies and the implementation of mobile payment systems.
4. Stanford University – USA
Located in Stanford California, Stanford University offers a course on blockchain called Bitcoin Engineering. Their focus is more on the development of the technology and how to build application that work with and along side blockchain rules and systems.
5. University of California-Berkeley – USA
Also located in California, Berkeley University of California, offers a course in the fundamentals of open-source. This undergraduate cryptocurrency course also hosts crypto meetup events that include host talks, developer tutorials, workshops and side projects. Such as using cutting-edge blockchain and crypto technologies for mobile app integration
