The Elk, naturally brown by design, the perfect camouflage for a woody green forest. But when his surroundings change to a smorgasbord of color, as dream worlds often do, the chameleon-like Elk adjusts his colors accordingly, blending seamlessly into the background. In this particular dreamscape caught on canvas, we see the young stag calling out… a call of distress? of loneliness? a warning?
We shall never know, as it was also the moment my alarm woke me up.
