My thoughts on that time Elon Musk smoked weed.

I'm referring to the now infamous event that left every media outlets' panties in a twist.
Yes I'm talking about Elon Musk's appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience.

For those of you who haven't seen it yet il put up the video below. Its well worth a watch, I enjoyed every moment of it.

Heres my problem, although Elon is an amazingly influential person (one of the greatest in history IMO) his actions are under constant scrutiny from the public and media. I really do feel for him, at some point in the interview I remember he expressed with sadness , "I don't think many people would like to be me".

I absolutely hated the media coverage of this interview. Media outlets have a an enormous amount of power (often too much IMO) as they are the gatekeepers to what is being fed to the general public. They talked for almost three hours and covered some extremely interesting topics yet the media only talked about how Elon had smoked weed. Come on! Really?
It completely overshadowed all the quality ideas and thoughts discussed by both Joe and Elon.

But lets take our attention to 'that' smoking scene.
First of all he didn't even inhale just bum puffed it like a cigar, hence why he later said he doesn't feel it. No fucking kidding! He may well have tasted some of the terpines in the cannabis but he definitely didn't administer it properly to feel any of its affects. Unless that smoke hits your lungs and allow gas exchange to occur in your alveoli sacks your not getting high, simple as that. Its like taking a mouth full of whiskey, swirling it around in your mouth then spitting it straight back out again.
Secondly, cannabis is legal in California where the interview took place so no laws were broken. Nothing to see here guys just two grown men participating in legal activities.
Lastly, they were also drinking alcohol on the show, so why is that not stigmatised by the media? Its known to have far greater negative health effects......
