So, I have just finished reading this book.

This is a biography of Elon musk written by the author Ashlee Vance.

I really enjoyed this book and below will talk about some of the reasons why.

The book itself follows the chronological path of Musks life. It starts a brief overview of his childhood before moving swiftly on to his first company Zip2. After this the main focus of the book is Musk's businesses moving from Paypal to Spacex, Tesla and SolarCity.

The book covers a great deal of Musk's nuances and has a great insight into his personal character. It does this in a mostly unbiased way, as the author has interviewed people that sit on both sides of the fence(some who dislike Musk and others who like him). This helps to paint a picture of the man that shows you sides of him that you don't see portrayed in mainstream media.

This book would be great for anyone looking to get inspired by musks ideas and his incredible work ethic which is outlined greatly within the book.

I am looking forward to reading an Autobiography from Musk if he ever decides to release one in the future.

Also if anyone knows of any great Autobiographies/Biographies about great tech or business minds then please leave a comment below so that I can check them out.

Is it really unbiased? I've read some reviews that there is a pattern through thoroughout whole book: Musk did some pretty despicable things, but it's cool beacuse there is a big mission to acomplish. That there is no room for your own conclusions. What are your thoughts?

I did not read the book myself yet, but I'm trying to get into biography audiobooks. I started Steve Jobs's (by Walter Isaacson) and so far it's pretty good (can't really say more at this point).

Also, biographies to check out: Einstein and Ozzy Osbourne (not tech, but I've heard it's great).

Cheers!

Yeah, you raise a good point about the author trying to justify some of Elon's actions. Now that I think back I feel that that may be the case. I do like the fact that some of the people that hate Elon, get to voice there opinion on the matter. I think this lets you draw some of your own conclusions about the man.

It is one of the better biographies that I have read though.

Thanks for the recommendations, ill definitely check out the Einstein biography.
