Elsagate — The odd patterns in the video comments

Many believe that the comments in the videos of Elsagate videos are gibberish by children, and for a part of the comments, this might be true. There however seem to be reoccuring patterns not only in the videos themselves, but also in the comments section of the Elsagate videos. I have looked in the comments of this video in particular:

What we see might look like gibberish at first:

But there are certain patterns in these comments, of which a few from this video will be highlighted:

One of the things is the use of the word “morning”, this word is used twice with different accounts:

1 Zyad9UzFuUQK_nZT1GTqmw.jpeg

“disused de the morning” isn’t a real phrase in English, but that multiple accounts use this same word is peculiar. Another strange thing is two accounts which produced phrases which seem connected:

The phrase of Biruntha Bangajan is German for: “y I have the mails from from you? b d”.

The phrase of Agostino Provenzale is Italian for: “Uhhhhjjhuuuhhhnnhhhnnuhuggybyguoo to make (by?) the cook is nice but it isn’t true that you have sent me the mail”.

What is strange here, is that we have two comments here, seperated by a few days, talking about a mail in seemingly understandable phrases, but not having a direct interaction with each other.

In the following the comment of Carmine Paolillo could very well be gibberish:

1 UqKUvgs2lRk7Pw_ttwEZhA.jpeg

But it translates as:

“iqq I have a Pilz, 1 hour

Can? 1

?bnn;n

N”

This could be gibberish, but the structure seems to be possibly a code too, with the second phrase asking for a confirmation. The channel contains a video of an adult filming a child.

In another video we can see a similar pattern in the comments section:

1 UqAdwczziaL-AmtkOK4goQ.jpeg

We can find the next two comments, again in two different languages:

1 Qojq-_97p4L2AkvfPgx3hw.jpeg

1 ipqMO3GgHxrTdlPefXUr4Q.jpeg

The comment of Arzu Cançeker is Turkish and means “and what a shame that”, the comment of Anna Thiger is Swedish and means “what a shame”. Again, two seperate comments using a similar word.

In another video, Surprise Toy Unboxing Power Wheels ride on Sportbike Family Fun Playtime Video for Kids, we again see a certain pattern in the comments:

1 AzIaBzocmQZ1MWXhxcOWfA.jpeg

Nhandu123321 Huyn seems to correct Swati Agrawal, correcting “Revi” to “Review w”. These seem to be two seperate accounts, this happens more often in Elsagate videos, but normally an account repeats its own comment or corrects the own comment. This could possibly be a child correcting another child, or a bot which corrects a comment.

Another comment which makes no sense at all can be found in Kittens & Puppies Babies Stuck in Refrigerator Funny Story! Animal Finger Family Song Nursery Rhymes:

A comment by Sedan Mouse:

1 2KvYAqX6jh-JpNGqI413DQ.jpeg

The channel only has Elsagate videos with Arabic titles:

1 Uucv6KqPVOA6Rd-zprcgJw.jpeg

It seems as if the phrase is either code, or being posted by an AI system which doesn’t understand context, as the phrase is perfect English but makes no sense in the comments section and is not something which a small child would type.

There are also comments which make no sense at all, like the last one here:

1 IWXIU5KhXEi3yOilwQ4IMw.jpeg

What also more often occurs is comments which just contain the word “kids” or “Kinder” in German, for no apparent reason.

1 YeVkO3iLoFrhfPTSO3vRRg.jpeg

There are also comments which imply that parts of a website are tried to be pasted:

1 7EVRwpyTwC95ztPNPko-2w.jpeg

And in this comment we see how the username of the person which Antonyo Hoskins replies to is changed by him from panda to “laulau”:

Possible explanations

It doesn’t seem the case that these are randomly typed words. It is possible that children are responding to other comments with strange phrases about the same subject, without really understanding them. Problematic here though is not all the channels which comment seem to be used by children, as several contain either adult content or adults filming the children or soft childporn, not content of the children themselves.

Another possibility is that it’s some kind of coded language used in plain sight, which is easily mistaken for gibberish. There is no direct evidence for this and people can easily see things as code which are actual real gibberish by children. Comments like the one of Sedan Mouse show that not all comments can be made by children, some are too well written, but there are quite a lot which could very well be the result of a toddler pressing random keys.

A third possibility is an Artificial Intelligence which is trying to form phrases. The foundation for this idea is that several channels seem to be connected to each other, there are channels with very similar videos posted at the same date with the same length and channels which all follow the same channels, these look like small bot networks and could hint to a way in which these channels are linked. There are multiple instances where you have a few very different accounts posting the exact same word or phrase on one video, a number of bots which are AI and try to learn from each other might possibly explain them mimicking each other and post the same thing. It could also be a possible explanation for the strange talk about mails in the previous example, if an AI system is “communicating with itself through different bot accounts” and makes comments which are a reference to other comments in the same video. This would explain some of the stranger comments which not even a kid would make, but an AI system would.
