박영준은 서울을 기반으로 활동하는 일러스트레이터이다. 주로 콜라주 기법에 근거를 둔 이미지 작업을 하며, 보고 들은 것을 수집해두었다가 다시 조합하는 방법으로 그림을 그린다.
이 고양이는 가짜이다. 온전히 상상으로만 이 고양이를 그렸다. 지금 이 고양이는 작업실 창문에서 내 주사위와 함께 엎드려있다.
나는 심한 알레르기 때문에 진짜 고양이는 키우지 못한다. 그래서 늦은 밤까지 고양이와 함께 작업하는 사람들이 늘 부러웠다. 때마침 반가운 프로젝트를 만나서 나는 가짜 고양이를 그리기로 했다.
이 그림이 나 같은 사람들의 집에 창문이 되었으면 좋겠다. 우리도 창가에 앉은 고양이를 보며 마음의 평화를 얻어야 하니까.
