All of us as human beings are prone to suffer an accident at any moment of our lives, that is why it is of vital importance to know what to do or how to act when this happens to us or someone around us, that is why today I share with you some small recommendations, which have served me personally in times of emergency.
• We must remain calm, because we need a great deal of common sense to be able to know for sure what is really going on.
• Evaluate the situation, verifying with this the conditions in which the injured person is, that is to say, if not in a safe place, requesting help from the emergency numbers while placing the injured person in a safe place, but we should try to move him/her as little as possible, especially if there is suspicion of a fracture and thus avoid possible complications.
• If there are several injured people, it is advisable to give assistance to the one who may be more serious, that is to say, to the one who has some hemorrhage, has lost consciousness or is short of breath, in this case unbutton the injured person's clothes and thus improve breathing.
• If the person is conscious, ask him/her what his/her name is, if he/she remembers what happened, if something hurts, and who from his/her family can be called. If you are not using personal documents to get some identification.
• But above all, it is important to talk to him, to calm him down and above all to encourage him while the specialized help arrives.
It is so important to have this kind of knowledge, because we do not know when we can use it to save not only the lives of those around us, but also our lives.
