One of the primary sources of suffering is emotions. When we experience stress, frustration or burn out, we can use the emotion management skills we learned in our Emotional Intelligence training to release negative energy and release the emotions we are holding in. However, when it comes to emotions, many of us have managed to find ourselves in a state of conflict and suffering because our emotional intelligence did not recognize that we were engaging in unhealthy behavior patterns. We have also not been paying attention to the distortion of our emotions that lies at the root of many of our problems. To help you understand what these issues are and how you can begin to manage them, let's examine some of the channels of distortion and let's look at some of the ways you can release the emotional pain you are experiencing.
First, let's examine the physical pain channel of distortion. Here, you may be experiencing pain from a physical condition such as back pain or arthritis. Or perhaps, you might be experiencing emotional pain as a result of being rejected by someone you love. Whatever the case, your energy is flowing through a physical channel that is distorted and is expressing energy that is angry, sad, fearful and even fearful for your own survival.
What is happening here is that this emotional pain is being sent out without your awareness and you are not receiving the support and the energy that you need to release it. The key here is to find a way to quieten down this energetic channel and release the emotional pain. Usually, there is a change that occurs when we learn to release this negative energy channel.
Another channel of distortion is related to the physical condition of our bodies. This channel often times happens when we are asleep at night or we can not get comfortable from sleep. For example, when you have a heavy back or you have chronic pain, this will send signals throughout your body to relax and go to sleep. However, this relaxed state will not allow you to fully heal or release any emotional pain that is associated with the physical condition. It will just go away on its own for some time until you decide to either wake up again to get more relief or until the stress begins to accumulate again.
A third channel of distortion relates to your mental state. When you are depressed or you are feeling fearful emotionally, your thoughts will begin to travel through this channel and it will bring up all the emotional baggage that you have picked up over time. This often times will create a feeling of depression or a feeling of constant fear. The physical state will often times feel out of control and the energy can be expressed in other ways than through the physical channels. As an example, if you are having anxiety attacks or have a physical attack, the energy is often expressed in a way that goes beyond the physical.
In order to heal these emotional issues that are affecting your life, you have to release them by either waking up, meditating, or by letting them go. Waking up and releasing the energy from the energetic channel that is opening up will allow the emotions to either move out or be released completely. Once you have let go, you will then begin to feel better. Meditating on releasing the emotional energy will also allow the channel to open up so that the emotions can leave without an energetic barrier blocking them.
