In various markets around the world, Uber attracts drivers to drive during certain times of the day in certain high demand area for a min surge rate (usually 1.5x of the fare) You live outside the area...what's your plan of attack?
Your Uber app allows you to pick up rides going towards a certain area twice. Put in the address you want rides to go to and make the address so it's right smack in the middle of the guaranteed surge area. If the surge price are guaranteed between say 7 and 9am...start at 6:30. You will most likely get a ride into the area. Once you are in turn off the original address you wanted rides going towards and sit back and pick up rides at higher fares. |If you happen to get a ride that takes you out of the guaranteed surge area you can either drive back in or use your 2nd pick up rides to address option on your app
I drove this morning under this scenario and made $95.00 in 2 and a half hours

Anyone try Turo for car rentals?
I have been using Turo for a couple of weeks now as a driver. Depending on your location, you can rent a lot of vehicles you won't find at AVIS. There is a gorgeous, pristine 1961 Corvette for rent in my city, for example. It is disrupting the car rental market, but since car owners can set their own prices, do some shopping around before selecting your vehicle.
