A Legendary Disaster!

It is with a heavy heart that I report in the situation at go fest. The Legendary event was plagued today by hour long queues. Some attendee's were still outside while the event had already began and was already an whole hour in!

On the inside we see scores of players unable to login. Some players soldiering on and attempting raid's but were unable to engage because of server issues.

Also tons of disgruntled players booing and chanting other slogans like "we can't play" or we want a refund!

Recent news brought to me was that players would be refunded for their ticket and would receive 100$ in pokecoins as a consolation.

Given the value of the dollar if someone when to go fest from another country they could have very well paid in the thousands of their local currency to attend go fest. They will most likely be very heart broken and well out of pocket, making this the most biggest exercise in futility!

Let's face it even if they went to the event and managed to get a heracross, I just don't think its worth it.

With twitch and YouTube frozen on the go fest splash screen, possibly because of booing etc it seems the event is a failure.

I had really hoped it go well and smooth and hey we're all still looking forward to legendarys.

Reports have it that some after being reimbursed are leaving the event event though its still going on. Reports have it the queues leaving the venue are some 20 minutes long!

I am sad that its a fiasco however niantic had all the time in the world to do "stress tests" and ensure the servers capabilities as well as the Cell towers capabilities as well. A simple mock event in preparation would have sufficed!

Where does this leave us who like me are not at the go fest?
