Can't it be any more convenient than this?
Swissotel Nankai Osaka
The hotel I am going to introduced this time is a five star Swissotel which is a shining chain hotel located in Osaka. It is a Swiss chain hotel, that also has multiple locations worldwide.
Takashimaya Store at Namba Station
Takashimaya Store that is connected through Namba Station. It's also connected to Namba Park, Namba City, and Swissotel. There is a pathway to Dotonbori by crossing a street, as well as OIOI store, Kuromon Market, and even Denden Town! Namba Station as a center, it's convenient to visit different areas just by walking. For those reasons, Swissotel, which is connected to Namba Station has the best kind of accessibility.
Swissotel entrance on 6th floor
There is an entrance by the lobby, but when arriving by subway, it's convenient to take the elevator from Namba Station and to the 6th floor. After getting off at Namba Station, take a big stair case down and the entrance on 6th floor, is to the left. Keep in mind that there is a cheese tart store called, 'Pablo' nearby.
The way to the lobby on 6th floor after getting off the elevator.
Check-in counter
Check-in: 3:00pm
Chek-out: 11:00am
I arrived at 1:30pm at the hotel. I planned to just leave my luggage and go have a lunch but since the room cleaning was almost over, I was able to do an early check-in. Kind and friendly Japanese staff.
Korean tourists everywhere
Korean tourists have been increasing each year. Chinese tourists, who are number one visitors in Japan, were also seen often.
On the way to the guest room
I was given a guest room on the 23rd floor. The room was on a higher floor than I expected, so I was headed with excitement of seeing the view.
Cozy and clean double room.
Non-smoking room with a king size bed. In Japan, there often are smoking rooms, so it's better to clarify when making reservations. You might get a room with toxic odor.
The reason I chose Swissotel,
is because of the size of the room. It's common for Japanese hotels to have small rooms compared to Southeast Asian countries. So by choosing international chain hotels, I can have a little bit of a spacious suite.
The room was decorated with colors to make guests comfortable. When managed poorly, it can easily look dirty, but Swissotel must've maintained the guest rooms exceptionally because I didn't feel any discomfort.
The city view from the 23rd floor high.
Of course! The view from the 23rd floor was amazing. The open view was astonishing, day or night.
It was worth staring at.
TV and coffee pot arranged in the guest room.
I always watch TV when visiting foreign countries. I don't understand what they say, but it definitely makes me feel like I am travelling.
Bathroom which was a little disappointing compared to the guest room.
To be honest, the bathroom let me down a little. It wasn't old but it felt like it was and the size of the bathroom was more confined compared to the guest room.
However, the housekeepers cleaned and organized neatly so it was mostly satisfying.
Swissotel Nankai Osaka has the advantage of a good accessibility to not only Namba Station, but to Dotonori, Shinsaibash, Kuromon Market, Denden Town, various department stores and shopping centers. It is right in the center of walking distances to many places. Not only that, but it had exceptional service and guest room conditions that a five star international chain hotel should have.
For anyone planning a visit to tour in Japan, Swissotel is strongly recommended for those who put effort in to finding a good accommodation!
