Proton Mail.

Voluntary Japan is now using Proton Mail.

If you are using the service as well, do let me know. It would be good to connect this Steem network to a more private network of anarchist individuals of like mind. Proton Mail offers end-to-end encrypted email and is based in Switzerland. Encryption is done in the local machine/device browser, and no decryption keys are stored on Proton Mail's servers. It's pretty cool. One of my students here in Japan was using it, and so I decided I would try it out.

I just sent an email to myself (gmail account) and encrypted it. When I tried to open it in gmail, I had to enter the encryption password (which only you and your recipient would know/agree upon). When I clicked on the "open" button, I was taken out of gmail to Proton Mail's page, and prompted to enter the password. I did this, then hit "decrypt" and could read the message. All outside of gmail. Fucking beautiful. I was then presented with the option to "reply securely."

I upgraded my account just now as it seems like end-to-end encryption with emails even from outside mail services is done automatically with the upgraded account. With the basic account, your responder will have to choose "reply securely," otherwise the encryption will not be end-to-end. Intra-Proton Mail exchanges are always automatically encrypted, however, even with basic accounts, as I understand it. What's more, I FUCKING PAID WITH BTC. YUSSSS.

ZCash (ZEC), Interesting Nasdaq Article, and Questions:

Zcash : Zcash's privacy strategy is essentially to erase the "memory" - that is, the transaction history - of coins whenever a transaction occurs. Like Monero and Particl, by obfuscating transaction history, Zcash makes it impossible to trace transactions. ZEC uses an advance cryptographic technique called zk-SNARKs to make their coins private. And like Particl, Zcash is developing uses for its privacy beyond the currency.

I'm thinking of putting more of my eggs in the "dark crypto" basket.

Is anyone here a holder of ZCash (ZEC)? If so, what attracted you to the token? Worth investing in? What are some of the other dark coins you like/tend to trust?

Wickr Me: End-to-End Encrypted Messaging

I am on Wickr Me. Trusted anarchists and voluntaryist friends, please get at me on here. Send me your username via Proton Mail and let's network. SMS is the go-to communication for many of us these days, and these messages are nobody's business but our own.

Love ProtonMail. Checking out their VPN service now too.

Yeah, I'm not sure why I've been holding out so long. Seems awesome.

Nice and i like comen you and follow you @xeldal

Yes, I have zcash. Other currencies are adopting zcash as a method of obfuscating transactions. In this market, the more a coin is relied upon by others, they become more valuable.

Apart from Zcash, check out SmartCash. It's a hardfork of ZEC that I find pretty interesting. Other privacy respecting currencies are Dash and Monero, but I don't know much about them. I heard Monero is very difficult to use as they are still developing the wallet etc.

Thanks for mentioning ProtonMail. I've set up a basic account and I'll add you to my contacts, just in case :)

Cheers, much obliged!

good fundamental and ling term always pays

nice.... will try it out too

Great read. Im opening an account on protonmail I think Zencash could be big as well since they already have messaging with the swing wallet (on the blockchain!) and will have publishing as well.

Thanks for the information about the proton mail and the security services relating to transactions ...we need to access to all these facilities ..

Thanks for the nice post friend,I have to learn all that, so that I can use it. Have a great day friend .

Through the using of proton mail, all emails are secured automatically with end to end encryption... Very interesting ..wel come the new concept of Swiss! May be it will spread easily throughout the world and acceptable to all..
Thanks, for sharing such an advanced concept in application in the purpose of email security.,where no possibility of third party involvement.... Have a good time...ahead!

Proton Mail looks like a must have! A realky great service in my opinion.
Thank you for leting me know about it.

i love the idea of privacy for all and appreciate you sharing these new methods - rockin

You can't build on Wickr, Apple doesn't approve app's with content they cant see, And for Android is there a root key what larger institutions probably have. if you really want to be safe, buy a new android, connect once with internet to install the pgp app, close all connections, and hold the phone ass a air gabbed pgp en/decryptor. It may cost a 100 bucks. But what is the price of privacy?

Are you saying the Wickr Me messaging app is not encrypted?

Definitely using Proton, a great service.

@kafkanarchy84 It is great to know this type of projects for email encryption are around. Did not ahve a clue on them before reading your post. Just upvoted. Thanks for sharing. @gold84

Thanks for reading, and glad to hear it. Cheers.
