Many have suggested that today's total solar eclipse is a sign from God to America. So of course the line of reasoning is: Does God use astrological events as signs? If so, what exactly is the sign meant to warn us about?
I think a cursory search of the bible which is a set of historical documents verifies that God does use the heavenly bodies for signs. In the very beginning God said he created the lights in the heavens for signs from the very beginning...See Gen 1: 14 "Then God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years;."
So with the eclipse being at the very least a possible sign from God to the US, what could it be a sign of?
