Changing with faith: Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. Hebrews 12:7

We wish for the good things in life but they get out of hand, and we ask ourselves why this happens, and the truth is that there are no magic or instant solutions. Constancy and firmness are essential to achieve the goals we set for ourselves in life; inconstancy and the passing whims are the great problems of spirituality, common people get bored easily and constantly look for new things, what can we achieve in life if we act this way? When we live this way we are like ships without a rudder.
That is why the Bible in the face of this spiritual problem tells us about the importance of discipline. The discipline in the Sacred Scriptures is the spiritual gift of fear of God, we see this after the ten commandments: "Fear the LORD your God and serve him. Hold fast to him and take your oaths in his name" Deuteronomy 10:20. The fear of the Lord is constancy, firmness, devotion, equanimity, stability.
When we accept our Lord Jesus as personal savior we enter into the path of righteousness and mercy, and God calls us his children. But this filial relationship with God that the gospels tell us about requires first of all discipline in the word of God, that is why the apostle Paul tells us about the importance of the fear of God in the epistle to the Hebrews:
"Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live!" Hebrews 12:7-9.
In addition, the fear of God is the path to spiritual enlightenment and spiritual perfection, that is, holiness, as the apostle teaches: "They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness" Hebrews 12:10.
The fear of God teaches us how to change with faith.
