Many solutions are offered to record electrical usage but most of them are closed source and will not allow you to own the data. You might know your stuff with database and data analysis and prefer using tools that allows you to manage yourself what you do with the data.

Several platforms exist to record the data and graph them. We normally call them timeseries database. To name two of them that you can install on your own server or use online are Emoncms and Influxdb.

LeChacal.com has build several devices to post data to these type of servers.

The easiest one to use is certainly the EmonWRT3. It runs with OpenWRT. Yes a Linux device! Easy to configure with a web interface. Data forwarding to Emoncms and/or Influxdb are directly integrated.

Now you might prefer to have your own code running to populate data your own way to your infrastructure already in place. Then there is also the option to use a Raspberrypi and use one of the shield that goes on top. Then you can run C or Python code to read the data as they come. We have created the RPICT Series shield for Raspberrypi.
They come with different number of port for Current Sensor, Voltage Sensor and even Temperature.
