- Witness votes (W) (for those proxying witness votes, your total is always 30)

I learned a lot this week, and met a lot of really neat people. I have some favorite memories! So, I am not going anywhere, but I will not be shooting for the top spot this week, I will continue to post daily videos and keep you all updated on the fun stuff we are doing.
But I would be remiss if I did not mention to all of you, there is an urgent need and I would like all of you to be aware of it, for only together can we overcome this tragedy! Is there a way that we could look into the stats on that? How much votes I got on the 953 comments I left last week? My followers went up by at least 40 I think, and I am still getting responses, votes and follows, though now it is blending into this week!

Thanks for the shoutout here. I'm not sure if first place is attainable any more for me, and I'm okay with that. My main concern was that I was winning previously only because I had the time to put into it. I think I've been proven right. As it is, though, I'm believing that as long as I can improve in some way each week, and actually continue to engage with others in meaningful ways, that I will still be accomplishing something. While I am still just a minnow and the prize money is nice, it's never been why I'm a member of the leagues. I'm a member because I think engagement keeps people interested in the STEEM platform, and the more meaningful it is, the better. I also am a member of the leagues because it keeps me interested personally. And I wouldn't be a member of the leagues, at least not as early as I became one, without you. So, thank you, as always for that.

Hey, man, it's a lot work for three steem a week, or whatever I end up receiving for my efforts. Now, STEEM hits $1,000 USD, I'm changing my tune, but at $0.94 USD, not so much.
Well, I don't know if there's really much choice but to see past the money. Most people who are participating aren't receiving anything, yet they still do it. I'd be pretty hypocritical not to look at the good it's been doing for me and how I feel it's helping the platform and solely concentrate on the rewards.

Here's a post I wrote about it some time ago. It's only the best thing since sliced bread buddy :) I cut my time in half when it comes to replies here ... there's no wait time whatsoever. The only downside that I've found is that it doesn't allow you to see the complete thread of conversation, but only the last bit. Check it out, let me know what you think :)

Thank you Crypto-Econom1st! God allowed me to miraculously beat Janton by dedicating every spare waking hour to commenting. I was commenting on mobile while in the bathroom, and from a laptop when out on the patio. When I took my grandmother to the library, I connected to wifi and reviewed a contest feed to congratulate new and unique art projects. When others slept, I read the curie comment feed. While other's ate, I....well I did actually eat too.

Did you see @ecoinstant's post regarding @janton's possible mis-placing this week? Amusing!
It has been tougher this last month or two. The summer has been a distraction for sure, and there's the worry about paying for life via STEEM - that's much harder at present. We shall soldier on though in the hope that brighter days are ahead.
I was wondering if you had plans to gather a bit more STEEM under the dollar? I suspect there are some looking at this price as the beginning of a buying campaign.

And I know, you are the one guy that I am most worried about making it through this. If it makes you feel any better you have tons of respect and many of the people that like and respect you are growing by the day. It might not be felt yet in votes, but it will at some point. I can see the SP growing via a lot of bottom picking up new steem. I myself have added a lot via steem monsters and have a plan there too to both engage people and help to grow people's accts. I will be rolling that out in the next few weeks, so stay tuned ;)
And regarding your question, yes I just bought some more at $0.97 and $1.07 ... I keep fading it and plan on keeping it up. Maybe one day we will be able to help you, that would make me and others feel pretty damn good! :)

How's it going in your corner of the STEEM-verse? Thanks for the shoutout. It does feel like a distant memory, but I do remember coming in first a while back. And Lynn definitely was doing it before that. I've heard rumors that you and No Name did it a few times, too. I would say that if that were your main reason for being here, you would probably do it again yourself, but it's taking quite a bit of energy and time to stay up with janton and whoever else ends up crashing the party, so who knows now. :)

Top 20 once again... it was a fairly good week, apparently. The score is still way too low, though. I guess my ranking has a lot to do with the number of votes I cast... 1351. Compared to others that is a whole lot...

I hit 59 only a couple of hours after i wrote that coment, lol. It'll be a long way to 60. I see so many people who started out the same time as me now have a 61 or 62 rep score.
A lot of them have sugardaddies: support from dolphins or orcas, whos votes help you to build that rep faster.
So far, I haven't found such a sugardaddy yet - I don't know what you need to to or be to get one, but apparently I am not desirable enough, lol.
Fortunately, I do have a nutri-sweet-daddy. I assume I don't even have to explain who it is, lol

During my first couple of months, I spent most of my VP on upvoting comments. I wanted to thank people for taking the time to reply to my.posts. but after a while I noticed I didn't have any voting power left to upvote the posts I really liked.

I must admit I follow quite a couple of trails with a low VP. The reason I follow them is because I want to support others (for example: I follow(ed) the @newbieresteemday trail, the hiv trail,...)
As a result, you cast a lot of votes that are actually worth nothing. And that is not helping anyone. So I am going to cut back on the curation trails. Maybe follow just one of a person that scores high in the list, and follow that person with 50 to 70%, instead of all the small ones with 5 to 10%.
The thing is I want to keep supporting the little guys...

Super big congratulations to @ecoinstant for finishing in the top spot this week, edging out the seemingly invincible @janton! And all the best to the other members of the "elite" who seem to get into the top 25 week after week! It's great to see this level of engagement continue, even while Steemit seems "slow" because of the falling Steem value. I feel sure those of us who keep working away at it will get "the last laugh" when Steem suddenly shoots back up, a few weeks/months from now.

It is nice to compare my results with others on the curation charts, so I can track my weekly progress. It also makes me happy knowing that manual curation is effective, competitively speaking. Usually, I just save excellent posts to upvote full power as soon as my Voting Power gets closer to 100%. Maybe there is an app to help me punch in my upvotes at this exact moment on pre-preselected posts, so my VP is still maximizing my upvotes while I sleep.
I wonder what other successful curators are doing the same, or vastly differently.
