How to provide clean water as an alternative way

Greetings, how are you steemit friends? Hopefully, keep the spirit. Today I will discuss the work of the wells, in some areas where water shortage of drilled wells is considered as a solution for the provision of clean water so that it is considered important.

Clean water is a necessity for every human being and the entire flora and fauna, almost all life here on earth needs clean water to continue the survival and it is appropriate that we get a clean water source for consumption or other needs.

CLEAN WATER CRISIS

According to a Wikipedia source that says that one-sixth people do not have adequate access to clean water supplies or about 1.1 billion people are in a water stress environment, especially poor and developing countries. [source]

Some countries are experiencing a clean water crisis, and even recently the President of Indonesia, Mr. Joko Widodo has taken a firm stand on the provision of clean water in some areas of Indonesia. [source]

Actually, the nature of water shortage has long been happening in some countries and has grown in recent years.

Some aspects that cause water crisis are wasteful, wasteful use of water, increased water use due to increasing population, lack of water distribution, seawater absorbed by soil and polluting soil, environmental pollution and so forth. [source]

In anticipation of a clean water crisis, you should start from simple things like, save water usage, make recharge, hold rainwater storage to be utilized and so forth. [source]

One source of water comes from the soil and has long been exploited by humans, it's just that water coming from the ground cannot be used continuously given the limited availability of water. [source]

Alternatively, you can use the drilling well for a while until the permanent water supply is available.

But how do I make a drilling well?

Before you make a well, you should consult with experts and have a well-functioning drill equipment also understand the permitted drill depth or geological condition of the location.

As I mentioned above that you should understand the geological condition of the drilling location because you will be faced with problems such as if the location consists of limestone, then it is advisable to use the "air flush" system and so forth.

Working order of drilling well

1. An open hole for installation of a temporary casing (conductor pipe) minimum 12 m.
2. Drill a Pilot Hole with a minimum diameter of 150 mm during your drilling to do the following:
   • Take "cutting" drilling every 1-meter depth interval.
   • Description of cutting/core; presented in bore log.
   • Observation of drilling penetration speed for each 1 m drop.
   • Record the water level on each day before work begins in the morning and after work is determined in the afternoon.
   • Observe and record the amount of EC, on each layer.
3. Immediately after completion of the pilot hole as per technical specification do logging.
4. Install the temporary pump casing
5. Perform a pump out test
6. The analysis you should do include:
   • Description of the following drilling cutting for example.
   • Pump out test data, following test results of water and laboratory samples
   • Logging results / graphs
7. If the drill depth is appropriate and produces clear water, odorless and containing organism material then you can stop the drilling work.
8. Drilling is considered to be finished after with clean and feasible water.

The drilling process can still be continued with a 5-degree slope, straight with a depth of slope and can usually be tested with a "plumbness" system.

The most commonly used standard for drilling is the "hydraulic rotary" rotary engine capable of drilling up to 500mm/20-inch diameters of 200 m depth or any other equivalent type.

The clean water crisis is a serious problem and must be handled immediately considering the water as a source of life, so with the right steps, it is expected that the clean water crisis can be overcome soon.

Using water unwise, deforestation and environmental pollution can trigger a global water crisis, so it's time we take it seriously.

Drill wells are just a temporary alternative to providing clean water sources and not all locations can take advantage of these alternatives because the well can only function if groundwater is available.
