THE WONDERFUL OF BIRTH

in english •  7 years ago  (edited)

When we are adults, even children, we do not remember anything that we have lived before being born. However, already in the maternal womb, we felt, heard and perceived through the senses what was happening in the outside world. The problem is that we do not remember it. Despite this, these months are very important for our future development.
Do you think you do not learn anything before you are born? Do you consider that we come to the world without knowing what is in it? Nothing is further from reality, because already in the mother's womb, we learn many things! Today you will discover 4 things that we learn before we were born and that you did not know!

  1. We learn the tone of voice of those around us
Especially the tone of our mother, since it is her we always have closer to and that we hear about. From inside the uterus, we recognize perfectly your tone of voice. The voice of our mother reassures us, makes us feel safe and protected.

This is why it is recommended that mothers talk with their babies, even when they are inside the belly. In fact, you have surely witnessed the scene since many mothers, without being aware of its real effect, do so spontaneously. This is positive, both for her and for her son. Unwittingly they are establishing an affective mother-child bond.

  1. We learn the sounds that surround us
Not only are we able to recognize the voice of our mother and of the people who are normally around her, but we are also capable of learning the sounds that surround us. With this, we learn to perceive the music heard by people who are close to us, even the series or movies they can see.

With all this, it is not uncommon for a newborn to calm down listening to a particular music or be interested in the sound of a series or television movie. Sometimes, we may find it strange, but it is already within the maternal womb that we assimilate these sounds as something natural. In this way, we internalize them feeling comfortable each time we hear them again.

  1. We know the smell of our own mother
In some way, newborns are able to recognize the smell of their own mother. That is why when they are born they always prefer things that are impregnated with the smell of their mother or being close to their mother. When it is picked up by a stranger or someone whose smell it does not identify, the baby cries. Do you recognize this situation?

The smell is also very linked to taste. The normal thing is that the food that the mother ingests is then tasted by the baby with equal pleasure. In some way, babies in the womb learn what they can eat safely, so let's not forget that it is in the womb that they recognize what is safe for them and what is not.
The fetuses prefer the flavors of the food that their mother has eaten.

  1. Touch is also very important
Do you caress your belly during pregnancy? Do you talk to your baby while you play with him still in the womb? These actions predispose your baby to a premature approach to the world of caresses and affection, in general. Moreover, babies know and perceive the affection they are receiving from outside.
There is a recent study published by the Plos One that affirms this learning even within the maternal womb. According to this research, babies responded to their mother's touch by touching their chest in a way similar to how their mother was doing. The researchers determined that it was a way, an attempt, to communicate with his mother.
What do you think about this learning before birth? Babies are not born learned, this is clear to us, but through the senses they are able to appreciate where the security and trust that their mother and the people around her can provide.

It is wonderful to think how we can assimilate all music, voice or circumstance that is manifested abroad and that, subsequently, we will unconsciously identify as we grow. It is fantastic to discover this and even more fantastic is to recognize the importance of what our baby can learn even when he is in his mother's womb.
"The maternal womb is an environment as valid as another to learn."
The bond that the mother will have with her son is something very special, something that can not be broken and that begins to form when the baby is still in the womb. It's something special, something very beautiful. Your baby already learns things long before birth, has this been a discovery for you?
