In view of the chaotic situation in my country (Venezuela) as a large percentage of the population I am thinking:

Andrea where are you going to emigrate ?.

The most common countries when thinking about this option are: Colombia, Chile and Argentina. As many I would like to live "The American Dream" becausw, I do not have a visa nor do I speak English, so this is difficult.

I started researching the topic of Xenophobia, according to various websites of these 3 the country that has more xenophobia towards us the Venezuelans is Chile, followed by Colombia and finally Argentina.

This caused me a lot of curiosity about what I went a little bit further and then I actually communicate with friends and family that I have in Chile and there they even accuse you of "stealing a job" or even "there are less seats in the subway" but as The whole population is not the whole population, but according to the statistics, xenophobia in Chile is quite pronounced. Then I made the same steps about Colombia and they tell me that the thing is less pronounced since most of the so-called Xenophobia is more a complaint towards Venezuelans because in their desperation to leave here they accept jobs with lower payments than the established ones. which is why opportunities are reduced to other people. And finally the issue of Argentina because my family really found there that told me that from what they have lived, no, there is no xenophobia, because yes, surely there will be isolated cases but not visibly, rather they give us a lot support.

Then I went to investigate the issue of the papers, first I found out the subject with Chile where I found the following:

Requirements

Letter from the employer addressed to the Consul that justifies the hiring.
Work Contract (notarized, legalized and translated, if applicable).
Professional title (if necessary).
Criminal Background Certificates.
Medical certificate
Valid passport.
4 passport size photos.
Requirements required from the contracting company:

Constitution of Society in Chile.
Legal domicile in Chile.
That the contracted activity is indispensable for the development of the country.
VAT payment corresponding to the last 3 months.
Workers' forecast for the last 3 months.
It should be noted that in order to apply for a work visa in Chile you must already have a job, since the application is made through the company for which you work. Adding that you have to pay a 60 $ US tariff equivalent to a total of 36913.22 Chilean pesos.

Then I began to investigate how was the situation to migrate to the neighboring country Colombia. That being so close I imagined that it would be much easier and I found myself with:
Confirm the reception in the Consular Section of the authorization radiogram issued by the SAIME.
Valid passport with a minimum of six (06) months before its expiration.
Present original and photocopy of the pages containing personal data.
Photocopy of the Colombian citizenship card.
Two (02) photographs updated front, color, license size (4x4cm.), White background;
Certificate of address in original, issued by the Mayor's office closest to the place of residence
Photocopy of the air reservation or electronic ticket.
Certified copy of the Labor Permit for Foreign Workers granted by the Ministry of the Popular Power for Labor and Social Security.
Certificate of Criminal Record issued by the competent legal authority, duly legalized with the seal of the "Apostille of The Hague";
Photocopy of the work contract.
Photocopy of the university degree.
Curriculum vitae.

Health certificate issued by a public or private institution, indicating that the interested party is not affected by infectious diseases.
International Certificate against Yellow Fever, original and photocopy.

This work visa has a validity of 1 year and in the requirements we can see that other previous documents are needed that we would also have to request. In addition to the cancellation of a tariff of 60 $ US.Asi that is somewhat complicated the thing.

Then I researched about Argentina, the requirements are quite simple, it only requires:

  • Criminal records of your country, duly apostilled.
  • Residence cost or temporary residence that you get the police module where you are staying.
  • Valid passport.
  • Criminal record of the Republic of Argentina

And this has a cost of 2100 Argentine pesos.

Now we are going with the issue of salaries and the economic situation.

In colombia:

Minimum Wage: 689.454 $ CO (Colombian Pesos), equivalent to 241 US $

My personal opinion after making this little analysis of myself to draw my own accounts to give you this information is that Argentina is a very viable country for us in my case I prefer to sacrifice the stable economy of Chile for the tranquility that Argentina offers me.
I hope that this information has served you and that it was to your liking. Greetings Stemians💖
