Residente vs NK Profeta :the most brutal tiraera of recent times

in english •  6 years ago

Hello, how are you friends?

Today I want to share my opinion about the rap genre and this very good battle: Venezuela vs Puerto Rico.

From the crossing of words between a Venezuelan rapper and Resident came two songs loaded with sharp rhymes. ¿Who do you think destroyed who?

NK Profeta :

-1 On the one hand, NK Profeta: A Venezuelan rapper based in Miami who recorded his first demo in 2006. At the beginning of the year, as he shared in his Instagram account, he suffered a traffic accident that made him think about his life and one of those was to select a rival in the rap to "throw" in a letter. He made a survey among his followers and the one chosen was Residente, former vocalist of Calle 13 (the second was the Spanish rapper Nach).

-2 On the other side, of course, the type that the NK public chose: René Pérez Joglar, better known as Resident and remembered, above all, for his appearance in the world of reggaeton with Calle 13. His story It is well known for the entire music industry. More than 20 Latin Grammys, 4 Anglo, a documentary on Netflix and several political interventions that, badly or badly, have put on the radar the place of musicians as critics of society. Something that NK also dedicates to.

-3 The tiraera:

It is known as tiraera to a song or rhymes that rappers dedicate to who they consider their rival. It is a battle at the end of phrases and rhymes directed towards the other (in fact, it is the Latin word to talk about the classic hip hop bosses that were born with gangsta rap on the west coast of the United States).

The first haul was that of NK. A 9 minute track titled Mr. Resident. This was the message he left on his Instagram account when he published it:

"Mention the resident Mr. here so that he can learn, listen and rate the skills of a" pendejo "and" vague "rapper who wants" fame "

What do you think? Is there a new title owner or not?

Written in half a day, instrumental made in 3 hours and recorded and mixed in a couple of hours, the idea was that it was all spontaneous. "

The answer, although at first René announced that he was not going to respond, came out less than a week later. An 8-and-a-half-minute title entitled Dear Louis, in which former Street 13 responds, rhyme after rhyme, to NK's accusations.

-4 The problem:
It could not be other than ideological. Venezuela is experiencing a real and palpable crisis of scarcity of food and basic products that is causing massive migrations. There is also a violence and poverty latent in the country, also exacerbated by foreign pressure and media coverage. From that shore rapped NK, who seems to ask a stronger position to Resident when talking about Venezuela.

René responds point by point. Pointing out the same contradictions by which NK attacks him. And, perhaps the most accurate blow, he gives it when he flips the cake to the Venezuelan: René talks about the situation in his country, Puerto Rico, speaking of a very specific point: tragedies and hurricanes have hit them, they are an island with an ambiguous political status against the United States and have no chance to vote for the president.

In addition, he said he was going to ask for the copyright of the pieces of song that NK used. The claim was made to YouTube, which removed the video, but, the Internet is uncontrollable

"... where rappers like you steal intellectual property, for this reason I'm going to charge royalty gentlemen, and I'm going to donate them to the foundation of Canserbero."

¿Who is the champion of this rhyme crossing?

Here I share several works of musical art of each of them:
