Tequeños, tradition of Venezuela.

Good evening friends, today I want to share with you a very simple way to make the famous Venezuelan tequeños, I will give you ingredients and method to make this dough, a tool that will serve you a lot if you want to offer a rich snacks in your meetings or parties.

Ingredients:

  1. 1 kg of wheat flour, all use or with leavening.
  2. 2 eggs
  3. 500 g of butter.
  4. 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  5. Cheese.
  6. 200 ml of warm water.



Preparation method:

I am going to give you the preparation of 1/2 kg, which I particularly like to make it so that it is easier to handle the dough.

In a large table or container, place 1/2 kg of sifted wheat flour (to avoid lumps in the dough), open the wheat flour so that there is a space in the center, add the half teaspoon of salt, and the space add 250 g of butter and one (01) egg.

Proceed to begin to mix the flour little by little with the butter and the egg until the point where everything has been mixed, and gradually add 100 ml of warm water.

Once incorporated all the ingredients knead for at least 30 minutes, until you reach the point of stretching the dough with your hands and do not break.


Let the dough rest in a dry and covered container for at least 30 minutes, at this time of rest I start the procedure with the rest of the wheat flour and repeat the above mentioned procedure.

Once the first dough is ready, knead it for about 15 minutes and separate it into two parts, then proceed to stretch the dough.

Once stretched short in strips and begin to roll the cheese with the dough so that it covers completely without leaving spaces uncovered so that when frying and melting the cheese does not come out and the tequeño remains empty.

The size of the cuts of the cheese go according to the amount of tequeño that wants to do.

And this is the result after rolling the tequeños.

In this case I made 205 tequeños, destined for a personal meeting, for this Saturday which will show you the final result soon.

Good friends likewise I repeated the procedure with the other part of the dough, until finishing the dough completely, it should be noted that the number of tequeños that I gave is because they are of the paspalos type, but everything depends on the size that you want to make them , it is important that they know, that this can preserve them under freezing without any problem, until the day they will need them, particularly I the most that I keep them are 2 days, so that the flavor stays fresh, everything is to your preference .
