Hello!
Today, I want to talk about one of my favorites books, one that I personally love and would happily recomend to everyone.
So, since english isn't my first language, i'll try my best to explain in the best way my thoughts on this short review.
Demian, is an Hermann Hesse's book that describes the life of a young man called Sinclair.
Through the chapters, he tells us about his childhood and his ideas about the world: the good part of it and the bad one; and how he used to live in "The Good World".
With the time passing by, he gets to know a boy called Demian, and his opinions and thoughts about life, making Sinclair know about "The Bad World" and feel interested in it.
He also gets to know more and more about this God and also Demon called Abraxas, and how this God/Demon represents not only all the good things in the world, but also all the bad ones.
Making him love and appreciate the world as a whole, and all the feeling that a human can feel. All of them.
The story goes from his childhood to his adulthood; and in the end of the short, but amazingly well written story, Sinclair gets to understand Demian's life and way of thinking, knowing that until that moment, he doesn't need to see him again to feel like he's not alone in this world.
Because now, he has his own answers, making himself be enough to continue with his life.
I would say that all the stories have the option of end well or bad, but this book has an ending with a mixture of both. It makes you feel good and bad with it, like happy and sad at the same time, or relieved and frustrated.
Here is the original cover of the book:
And here is a picture of the autor, Hermann Hesse:

Died: 9 August 1962 (aged 85)
Montagnola, Ticino, Switzerland.
Period: 1904–1953
Genre: Fiction.
Fun fact: While reading his Wikipedia after I finished the book, I could notice how a lot of him was inside the caracter of Sinclair, and I just think that's amazing, it brings some reality to the story, right? I personally love it. It's cool. He was pretty cool now that I think about it, pretty badass and reckless.
God... the things that this book and his words teached me are indescribable, I can say that it changed me, in a good way.
The way of explain every situation with the perfect words it makes you understad and feel it really quick and powerfully, its easy to understad complicated feelings with Hermann Hesse, he's really talented, I can tell you that.
I think everybody should read this at least ones in their life. I really do. Because it teaches a lot about the life, the human as a whole and a lot about the "good" and "bad".
And, of course, I could never thank enough to the band that introduce me to this book, which is BTS (Bangtan Boys), a Korean boy group that used this story for their comeback a while ago.
So, these are my thoughts about this book, I am (of course) looking for read another Hermann Hesse's book in the future. I don't know which one yet... but I know it's going to be amazing as well as this one.
Thanks for reading this (kind of) review!
See ya!
