In his room
Half of February; In his room a young university student is on his laptop, he moves away from the screen a bit, yawns as he stretches and turns his gaze to the clock that tells him it's already 11:07 at night. It is cool and the light of the moon illuminates the backyard that is behind them, the window that gives to this place is open and the curtains oscillate slowly in an almost imperceptible swing.
He is in his affairs and has been sitting in front of the screen for several hours, but he has finished studying so he relaxes and checks his social networks, chat with his girlfriend, see some other news and get distracted by some music.
His whole family has been sleeping for quite some time now and he is only in vigil, but thinking about his sheets and his bed because, to tell the truth, he is tired.
He has not gone to sleep yet because he has simply been distracted for about 20 minutes with any "stupidity" he gets, whether it's a meme, a little story or some song that is playing at that moment and makes him stay a little longer.
Suddenly all this atmosphere is cut when he hears a thumping sound in the living room of his house, a sound that he perceives as a falling book, one of those books with a rigid cover. Immediately after that, he hears that his little Tina emits a moan like pain accompanied by barking --- He will have been frightened by the noise --- he thinks.
Tina usually rests in the living room and when something causes her fear, she does that kind of thing, so he was not surprised by her reaction to what he supposes, it is a book that is badly placed on the table in the living room, which fell to the floor . But she keeps barking, and that, according to her experience as the owner of that little Pinscher pet, she does when there is someone unknown. It's been about 10 seconds of that situation, and although she no longer barks so often, she continues to do so.
He keeps thinking that maybe she is still nervous and tries not to pay much attention to the matter, anyway, those barks and that behavior in her was not very unusual ... although, this time, for some reason, he felt that something was different. After a few seconds, his instinct tells him to go to the room and bring his pet and put in his place that book that caused all the fuss to go to sleep.
he takes off his headphones and puts them aside while he gets up, while crossing the door even his dog keeps barking and when he starts to walk down the hall to the living room, she becomes silent. When she arrives, she notices that Tina is still quite nervous and keeps looking towards the front door of the house. Tina, Tina, come --- the boy says ---
She obediently approaches and he raises her, she is so small that if she wanted to, she could do it with only one hand. After caressing it, he lowers it again and looks at the sides of the table in the living room to see the supposed fallen book, but strangely, there is nothing on the floor. Keep examining the surroundings, now with more interest to know what produced that sound, but no, there is nothing. --- It's weird --- think a little upset.
This young man has always been quite skeptical about paranormal issues and usually tries to find a rational explanation for everything, but this time, he just can not do it, he does not understand anything.
Well ... no way, it's time to sleep --- says to himself-. He walks back down the corridor and turns off the light of that place with Tina in his arms and when he is a couple of steps from his room he begins to perceive a rather nauseating smell, like something rotten. He enters his room and sits down again in front of the laptop to close his social networks and turn off the computer, but he still perceives that smell, which persists just like a few minutes ago.
Suddenly, just as he arrived, the smell disappears and inevitably begins to remember the horror stories he has read and heard where they narrate that sometimes the frights or paranormal presences have this type of aroma.
But he is not to think about ghosts or anything like that so he decides to forget the subject and finally go to sleep; the boy turns off the lights and lies down on his bed while Tina gets under the sheets and throws herself in one of the corners. But it is not completely dark because the moonlight dimly illuminates on that room.
Since he went to bed he can not stop thinking about what happened, despite having proposed it from the beginning, but to his bad luck, he has not forgotten the matter at all and apparently his mind wants to play him heavy because he begins to perceive a movement of shadows around him and to see something that seems to be closer and that a moment ago, according to his own opinion, was not there; He feels so uncomfortable that he gets up quickly and passes the switch that is about three meters away from him and turns on the light.
Fortunately he can see that it is the typical pile of clothes in the dark that makes things look that are not --- That cliché --- he thinks with a bored face, but also with some tranquility, even though he still has the feeling of to have seen him closer, although he keeps insisting that it is his own imagination so he tries to sleep.
He feels uncomfortable, turns in bed for a long time until, finally, little by little, he begins to close his eyes and without realizing it he fell asleep.
Wakes up because of what he perceives as a twinge, he has a strange and ugly nightmare that raises him from startle. He does not remember much, but enough to know that something had been following him and he had reached and hurt him with a kind of knife.
Now it is much colder and the arm and the whole hand are numb, perhaps because of the position he was in, so he plays down it; The clock already shows 3:12 in the morning and the dim light of the moon continues to illuminate his room, but this does not make him feel calmer. Feel that they observe it. Something is wrong and he knows it, but he does not know exactly what.
He is still nervous about the nightmare. He wonders about what happened earlier in the night, what would have been what scared his dog? What if "something" tried to hit her? These thoughts invade again.
Rises suddenly and turns on the light, only to observe his completely normal room, there is nothing unusual about it. What am I thinking at? think rationally stupid, they do not seem like you - he reproaches himself and keeps saying --- But I can not deny that many things have been coming together...
He continues lying down and now with more cold and this is added to the desire to urinate, so he gets up and walks through the now dark corridor of his house, does his business in the bathroom and then goes to the kitchen to drink a glass of water.
Upon returning, the young man has to go through the same corridor, which now seems to be more darn dark than a moment ago, walk carefully, but --- what happens, you look like a child, calm down --- think again. He calms down a bit and continues walking, but that darkness at the end of the corridor continues to disturb him, he continues to feel himself observed.
Must take about 10 steps to reach his room and just when he has given about 6 or 7 and is about to reach his goal, in the middle of that darkness at the end of the hall where he can not distinguish anything, he returns to hear the same sound that something "falls" ...
To be continue...
