DEFINITIONS
Artifact: is the equipment that uses gas as fuel to produce heat energy.
Internal pipe installation: the set of pipes located after the meter and that lead the gas from the outlet to the appliance.
User: is the natural or legal person that uses the gas service.
Valve of Pass: it is a device of closing or opening of the flow of gas, by direct manual operation.
PROCEDURES
1- Initially, it is inspected and verified that the facilities comply with the design, construction and safety requirements.
2- It is verified that the airtightness test has been carried out on the internal piping installations.
3- Close the valves of the domestic gas appliances.
4- In the measuring center, the plugs are removed and / or the meter is placed where necessary (health center, shops, educational unit).
5- Measure and cut the flexible copper pipe Ø ½ "and 3/8" according to the case to be installed in the user's house for the supply of gas through the internal galvanized steel pipes according to ASTM A-53 to the free end next to the artifact.
6- Carry out the molding and beading of the copper pipe according to the location of the entrance of the galvanized steel pipe to the house.
7- Measure and cut the flexible copper pipe Ø ½ and 3/8 "according to the appliance to be commissioned, which goes from the free end of the galvanized steel internal pipe according to ASTM A-53 standard after the appliance valve to the artifact. (approximately 2 m).
8- Carry out the molding and beading of the copper pipe to be installed at the gas inlet of the artifact until the free end next to the artifact.
9- Use brass connectors Ø ½ "x ½" or Ø ½ "x 3/8" (NPTF x Flare and NPTM xFlare) for the joints between the pipe and the accessories, with their respective seals.
10- Check the tightness of the copper pipe installed with soapy water
11- Then the valve of the user located in the distribution house is opened.
12- The process of adaptation of the domestic artifact begins in the following way:
a) With the appliance shut-off valve closed, the gas circuit is switched off. This will allow that circuit to vent the remaining LPG that may remain in it.
b) Subsequently, the upper and front part of the appliance must be discovered to access the holes of the gas injectors of the manual flow valves.
c) Then, using a dremel or reamer, the diameter of the holes of the gas injectors of the valves for the passage of the burners is increased.
d) The appliance valve is opened and the burners are lit.
13- Finally turn on the pilots, control the height of the flame to allowable and safe levels in the burner, adjusting the air intake, the flame should be blue, checking that the appliance is working properly.
