HYPOTHESES Bermuda Triangle

in enigma •  7 years ago

Several dozen different explanations were offered: 1) All cases are nothing more than coincidences and coincidences of circumstances (wow - "circumstances" !?). 2) Intervention of aliens who abduct ships. 3) Residual traces of the activity of the deceased Atlantean civilization (the continent of which "was somewhere nearby"). 4) The black hole sucks the ships (but where is it "based" and why does not it always work?).

  1. One of the interesting hypotheses was even called somewhat romantic - "Voice of the Sea". Back in 1932, the famous Soviet hydrologist VA Berezkin on the hydrographic vessel "Taimyr" noticed that if in the open sea with an approaching storm keep a balloon pilot at a distance of 1 to 2 cm from the ear, then a considerable pain is felt in the ears. The study of this phenomenon was conducted by Academician VV Shuleikin, he gave it the name "Voice of the Sea". The scientist spoke at the Academy of Sciences of the USSR with the theory of the occurrence of infrasonic oscillations in the ocean. In the case of storms and strong winds above the sea surface, a flow break occurs on the crests of the waves; at a wind speed greater than the speed of wave propagation, the air at the crests is retained, forming a compression, and above the soles of the waves - the rarefaction. The condensations and rarefactions of air thus arising extend in the form of sound oscillations with a frequency of up to 10 Hz. In the air there are not only transverse vibrations, but also longitudinal, the strength of the resulting infrasound is proportional to the square of the wavelength. At a wind speed of 20 m / s, the voice power can reach 3 W from each meter of the wave front. Under certain conditions, the storm generates infrasound power of tens of kW. Moreover, the main radiation infrasound is approximately in the range of about 6 Hz - the most dangerous for humans. It should be added that the "voice", spreading with the speed of sound, is considerably ahead of the wind and sea waves, besides the infrasound very weak dissipates with the distance. In principle, it can propagate without significant attenuation by hundreds and thousands of kilometers both in air and in water, and the speed of the water wave is several times higher than the air speed. So - somewhere the storm is raging, and in a thousand kilometers from this place the crew of some schooner comes off of the 6-hertz radiation and goes to absolutely calm sea in horror.
But to check any of the hypotheses put forward (including the terrible "Voice") is quite difficult; recall that the actual, recorded cases of disappearances of ships are hardly more than 10-15% of what was reported in sensational newspaper publications. The whole trouble is that it is almost impossible to deal with these cases, this mysterious "something" does not leave witnesses. But you can try to "talk" mute witnesses of tragedies - tapes, records of radar readings, reports of search services, etc.
