Ulee Lheue is a gampong in Meuraksa sub-district, Banda Aceh, Aceh. In this village is located Ulee Lheue Port. The beach is beautiful, located in the city of Banda Aceh.
We photograph the photo here with the background of Ulee Lheue Beach. While drinking and snacking we sat enjoying the view of the beach. the scenery is nice, lots of snack vendors around the beach, easy access near the harbor.
Initially this Ulee Lheue Port operated to serve several routes, such as crossing to Sabang Island, Lhokseumawe Town, Kuala Langsa, even to Belawan Port - Medan.
After the tsunami disaster of 2004, the port only served as the main link between Sumatra Island to Sabang Island through Banda Aceh with 3 - 4 daily crossing trips. Until now, the redevelopment of Ulee Lheue Port by the Banda Aceh City Government with the help of several agencies has been running, but only to the stage of construction of some land facilities that are only able to support the Banda Aceh crossing to Sabang Island.
Currently the port is managed by Ulee Lheue Crossing Technical Unit (Dishubkominfo Pemko Banda Aceh) in coordination with PT ASDP Banda Aceh.
