North Korean leader Kim Jong Un told South Korean President Munejay-In that he had become 'emotional' while walking on foot in the neighboring country. After more than a decade he said in the inter-Korean conference.
Referring to the last conference held in 2007 in Pyongyang, Kim said crossing the boundary line of the border of the border was 'very easy' to cross the cement block. But he was surprised to wonder why it took more than a decade for this to happen.
Meanwhile, Kim is the first North Korean leader to step in South Korean soil after the end of the Korean War.
Kim said at the Peace House at Panamunjam village, which is under strict security for the ceasefire in the demilitarized zone, I walked about 200 meters on foot in the South Korean soil. At this time I became very emotional.
He said to Munque, This is the beginning of a new chapter in inter-Korean history.
Expressing sincere commitment, he said, I came here with the decision to indicate the start of a new chapter.
Kim said he was careful about the latest conference. He promised to make a permanent contract.
Meanwhile, South Korean President Moon Zay-in Seoul praised Kim's "tough decision" to keep his feet on the ground. He hopes that this conference will reach such a strong agreement so that we can give a great deal of peace to the Korean people.
He said, when you were crossing the military border for the first time, the village of Panamunjam became a symbol of peace, not a symbol of split.
Note that this conference was held between Korea and Korea in the year 2000 and 2007. From this point of view it is the third conference.
