Ideas vs Execution

in enterpreneurship •  8 years ago

Ideas are cheap, execution is costly.

Ideas amaze people, execution make them trust.

Ideas can be revolutionary, execution is gradual learning process.

Ideas are fast, execution is slow and sometimes dreadful.

Ideas are commonplace, execution is niche.

Ideas can come from anywhere, execution thrives only in ecosystem.

Ideas show the possibility, execution indicate the reality.

Ideas change over time, execution stabilizes.

Ideas are about the future, execution is about past - what you have already.

Ideas can scale faster, execution is always step-by-step.

Real entrepreneur is the one who makes peace with it and still believes that ideas will be much closer to execution someday.

For example, Elisha Otis demonstrated his safety break at the Crystal Palace, New York’s World Fair (Otis Elevators) in 1854.
