Why are yoruba entertainers doing better than the other guys from the south?
Could it be t
he "Lagos market" or "Love amongst themselves". As a music producer, sometimes I get really scared and a little discouraged seeing the unhealthy progress of the south(which I am from). I admire the force of progress among these "Yoruba boys". I begin to ask myself "could it be that these Yoruba entertainers are more talented than the southern boys, or do they just have that love towards each other which seems to 'blow' them up faster than the south south entertainers ?".
More often, I settle with the thought of these Yoruba entertainers having love for each other because I can mention a lot of south south entertainers who are really blessed with amazing talents but are seriously "dwelling UNDERGROUND".
Try to analyze the top ranking Nigerian entertainment 'big boys and girls' you will find out that 80% are Yorubas, leaving the remaining 20% for other regions to struggle with inconsistency. What a sad one.
The likes of Wizkid, Davido, Kiss Daniel, Simi, Falz, Ycee, Mayorkun, Mr Eazi, Funke Akindele Bello, to mention a few are names on everyone's mouth.
This ill progress of the south is a big dream killer factor. Now what's the way forward?. How can we see to the progress of the south south entertainment?.How can dis imbalance be corrected?
