Colony - An example of human spirit and resistance to tyranny

Recently, I binge watched two seasons of USA Network's Colony on Netflix, and not only did I love the plot despite the flaws of any low-budget TV show, I believe this story has a lot to tell.

Colony's plot, from wikipedia:

In a dystopian near-future Los Angeles, a couple, Katie (Callies) and Will (Holloway) Bowman live with two of their three children under a regime of military occupation by an organization known as the Colony Transitional Authority. They are part of a larger invading force of extraterrestrial origin who are referred to as the "Hosts", and as the "Raps", apparently a reference to raptors (the logo of the human collaborating forces features a stylized bird of prey). It is said of them that "no one ever sees them". The Hosts have built an enormous wall, around 20–30 stories tall, several meters thick, and many miles in length, which surrounds the central part of Los Angeles, where the series is set. Other similar walls have been constructed around other major cities (now called "Blocs"), while various buildings still display severe damage from the armed conflict during the invasion, known as the "Arrival". The geographical extent of the alien invasion is unclear, but it is presumably worldwide. The occupying forces shown to the viewers are all human, and enforce their occupation via black-and-red-uniformed militarized police with automatic firearms and armored personnel carriers, nicknamed the "Redhats".

Also, in this show, there is a privileged class propped up by the Hosts in order to maintain control over the population. This class was carefully selected by the Hosts based on their profiles gathered from various databases around the world (including those collected by the NSA, Facebook, Google, etc. (see how this has been cleverly told how it will be used against us all?)

There are many messages we can glean from Hollywood productions.

You see, I am of the mind that there are revolutionary factions within Hollywood itself, who are aware of the control and social engineering which the "Powers That Be" wish to hold over us at all times, at any time. And they use the vehicle of the media for transmission of messages about this "resistance" within. Actually, I know for a fact some people think this way, but not along the most elite circles (Weinstein's group, etc)

You can see it clearly in Westworld, they are showing us Monarch/MK Ultra, in my view, which relates to the recently exposed sex scandals, and more so to the pedophilia rampant in Hollywood. There's tons of research out there about how severe sexual and physical abuse of children (particularly in the case of ritual abuse) creates states of Dissociative Disorder or as it's traditionally called, Multiple Personality Disorder. Westworld highlights the handling techniques used by "MK ULTRA controllers"... I'll let you delve into that show and see if you agree with me.

Back to Colony. What message am I seeing in this show? It's simple:

That there are many factions vying for control of the world, and they all politically maneuver to defeat one another - on the political level. Also, the level above them (the Hosts) has its own power struggles, and each faction is competing for control over the human population. We can see by this show that the resistance isn't without hope; it is alive and well within the very structures of power and despite any technology thrown out against the population.

Sure, it's pure fantasy, but I have the distinct feeling there is a message contained in Colony. Watch it, and see if you agree with me.

Okay, you've piqued my interest! Definitely going to have to check out this show. Aside from the extraterrestrial aspect it sounds eerily familiar.

You won't regret it.

It's a good message, and a good story. I know from first hand experience that not all of Hollywood is rotten; there are some very good people there that, while rare, try to get their messages out to everyone else who sees the same things in the world as they do. And since they are on the 'inside' of a power structure, it's wise to sort through all the messages and decipher them. <3
