A man has hit out at Starbucks after his wife 'nearly choked' on a piece of metal that had somehow ended up in her drink.
Matt Miller, 27, from Hardwicke, and his wife who's asked not to be named, were visiting London for a short break at the time.
The couple got coffees from a Starbucks branch near Russell Square Underground station when they went for refreshments.
Matt's wife ordered a Mango Passion Fruit Frappuccino, according to Gloucestershire Live , and was left fuming after nearly ingesting a piece of metal.!
Matt tweeted: "@Starbucks when you choke on a piece of metal from your Starbucks drink..." and included a photo of the unwanted item.
The pair visited the cafe on Wednesday morning before heading back to Gloucestershire.
Matt said: "I was shocked and worried when I saw the metal.
"It was my wife that drank it and she pulled the metal out of her throat."
The drink, which comes in tall, grande and venti, is made with Teavana tea, blended juice, and ice.
A spokesperson for Starbucks said: "We are concerned to hear about this and have begun an investigation to find out what happened.
"We have been in touch with the customer directly to apologise and hope to welcome him back into store soon."
