Last week, unfortunately I couldn't make it to the live radio show on discord due to some circumstances beyond my control. I sincerely apologise to all those who came around. RELATIONSHIP TALK WITH ZIZY

Since three weeks or thereabouts, we have been discussing the issue of love. Last week we talked we talked about How to rekindle dying love and it was a delight seeing a testimony on the comment section of how the tips have helped save a friend's relationship. This is the whole aim of this show; to build stronger relationships and also to break relationships with no future.

Last week on the show still, on the Dear Zizy segment, i received a mail from an anonymous that generated some sensitive comments which i feel we need to discuss and address. We all know money is important in a relationship. I am of the school of thought that supports a man taking care of his woman financially because if there is one thing that can weaken a relationship apart from sex it is money. That being said, i also need to clarify that i am not of the school of thought that supports a woman turning her boyfriend into Central bank of Nigeria or Bank of America. When people go into a relationship, there are several expectations. It is normal for a guy to spend on his woman as it is a sign of care and affection but the frequency and manner with which he does it determines if it is a show of love or a show of stupidity.

Every gentleman knows his woman needs money and he gives her without asking. It is true we all go through phases in our lives when we are often forced to go to our loved ones for financial help. That is understandable but it shouldn't be a habit. He is not your father and he owes you no favours. It is appalling to see ladies in school demand school fees and house rent from their boyfriends. Your boyfriend is just an individual, you and your parents are a group. Your parents were doing this job which is theirs anyway before this young man came into the picture. some ladies even go as far as putting up an attitude when they demand for money and the boyfriend isn't forth coming. They forget that just as it is okay for you to ask, it is okay for the guy to say no. If he spends on you it is because he knows it is what he is supposed to do not because it is your right. You deny him sex but forget sex is the easiest thing to come by nowadays.

He is not your piggy bank and you are not a property that needs to be maintained. Part of being an adult is being responsible for oneself and independent. This is why giving money by boyfriends now come with expectations. You hear words like " Don't ask me for money if you won't give me sex". Relationships have been reduced to a business transaction. It is now a trade by barter. I still remember a text message a lady sent to my brother barely two weeks after they started dating. The bewildered young man had to forward the message to me to read and it says, " Hello darling now we are dating, i want to know how my allawee will be. Will it be monthly, at your discretion or whenever i ask?" How shameless some ladies can be. I am one person that never demands from my man, except I'm in a dire need and even when some monetary favours are done me, i look for a way of repaying back through gifts. I don't like feeling like i owe anyone. This isnt a standard, it is just my kind of person.

Guys understand this, never give beyond what you can afford. Think of yourself and your future. The country is in the middle of recession, learn to save the little you have. Do not forget you also have parents and siblings. Do you give them as much as you give your woman? Any woman that encourages you go to go a spending isn't a good material for a girlfriend. Your woman should be concerned about your financial stability and help out in helping you achieve it. Nothing wrong with asking your woman what she needs the money for. If she gets angry well that's her problem. It is your money, you worked hard for it and so have every right to know what it is being spent on. If she needs it for a business then she should be ready with an account statement. Won't you ask your siblings what they need money for if they make demands? Ladies, if you must ask for money, please do not ask for ridiculous amount. Never forget, he is not your financial institution.

Now the question is

1. Should a lady ask for money from her boyfriend?
2. When is the right time to start asking for money? One week, one month or two years?
3. How much is too much?

DATING TIPS

If you are no longer enjoying the dating process, don't force yourself to date. Stop dating if you are burned out, in the wrong mindset or carrying a residual baggage from the past. When you are not having fun, the heavy energy of disappointment and skepticism will repel high quality men, reinforcing all of the reasons why you don't like dating. Release negative energy and prepare yourself for a better dating experience.

Please is it wrong for me to date my elder brother's ex? My brother dated this awesome lady for six months and broke up with her over a trivial issue. She is a very decent girl and very homely. They broke up two months ago but i kept communication lines open with her.
