No one ever said it was easy being an entrepreneur. Whether you're in the early stages of your statrup, just secured funding for your startup or you are ready for product launch, there will always be those three components when you ask yourself if this whole entrepreneur thing is worth it. Instead of giving up and throwing-in the proverbial white towel, keep your head up and look to the following write-ups to inspire and motivate you during those tough patches.
The Critical Ingredient
The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. It's as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today. The true entrepreneur is a doer, not a dreamer.
Do. Or do not
Do or do not, There's no trying. Take the risk and start. No harm in trying.
In todays economy its almost mandatory for a person and/or family to have multiple sources of income just to say afloat. I encountered a person recently of whom works a full-time job, drives for Uber and something else on the weekends, that totally blew my mind. But to be honest, its not all that shocking.
1. Extra Income
As I mentioned above, in todays economy we could all use a little extra income coming in on top of our daytime jobs. For those with families, the expenses of braces, sports, class photos, projects etc, totally can add up each year to the equivalent of a full or part time job. The only way to try to give your family some of these additional benefits is to have some sort of extra income coming in that is not calculated with your monthly expenses.
2. Additional Time Freedom
*DISCLAIMER: Time freedom won’t be available for a while, but it will come. *
One of the best things I ever did for my life was starting a business while working a full-time job. Granted, I had ZERO time freedom for a few years, but once I was able to get my business to a certain place, my seemed to free up a little more. Now I still work really hard and can’t just go and Eat Pray Love across the world, but if I need to I can take a break and hang by the pool or go visit a friend, because I created a business where I only need my laptop.
3. Long Term Financial Goals
This one is actually my favorite. Many times we focus on today but neglect to think about when we turn 50, 65 or 80; what type of life do we want to live when we are no longer able to work like we did in our 20s and 30s. Personally, I want to set myself, my family and generations up for wealth and legacy building. Unfortunately, the person that hires us for a job has created their business for their financial goals, now we have to create the same for ourselves. I love the United States of America and am so grateful for the freedoms we are given, but we have to be honest, the USA is not set up so that when we can no longer work that we can have $100,000 a year coming into our homes to take care of us. Heck, I do not think any country is set up that way, BUT we can start a business NOW and make sure that that takes place.
We just have to THINK about then vs today.
Its totally been a joy learning about business, wealth creation and then teaching it to each, but today I want YOU to focus on YOU! Are you setting yourself for more money, time freedom and wealth?
If not, its ok you are here reading this.. YOU CAN START TODAY!
