It’s been a great journey so far for Battery Low Interactive. Like most technological startups, we had humble beginnings. Minhaz Us Salakeen Fahme and Istiaque Ahmed both studied CSE in IUT and were well acquainted. Both were passionate coders who spent countless hours in their respective dorm rooms learning how to make android apps and games. In early 2015, they realized that they possessed the skills needed to develop apps and games on a professional level. Asif Iqbal, who was already a revered photographer and graphics editor, joined them shortly to add his animation and designing skills to the emerging platform.

Some friends and acquaintances also collaborated with Battery Low in its early days. Their contribution made it possible for Battery Low to reach its present stage.

In early 2017, Minhaj Mimo and Ratul Paul entered the picture. Minhaj had been working as a software engineer and network analyst before joining Battery Low; his experience and skill set made him the perfect person to act as the Chief Technical Officer. With the addition of these two extremely talented persons, Battery Low Interactive is now a full-fledged multi-platform application development company that employs more than 20 people. Our present team has an enriched history which includes their experience with Game development, Web development, App development; and also Enterprise resource planning (ERP), Inventory management software and System software.
Battery Low happens to be the first company in Bangladesh to utilize VR technology in a commercial campaign. It created a skydiving game where the user could feel the real experience of falling from sky using oculus rift. The player could move and glide around using oculus rift as controller; he/she would only have to rotate his/her head towards any particular direction to move towards it.

We were also the first in the country to venture into AR technology, when we built an application which allowed the user to walk through a total apartment in virtual reality using Gear VR/ VR Box/ Google Cardboard. He/she could walk around the 3D models using Bluetooth controller while experiencing the environment of the rooms as if he/she were actually in that room. We also built an application which allowed the user see an array of furniture from their collection and project them in their room using augmented reality technology. They could move it around the room and see how it looks or fits using a custom marker.

Professional endeavors aside, we can proudly say that Battery Low Interactive has not shied away from its social responsibilities. In our early years we had realized that a lot of people in Bangladesh had no prior experience with AR and VR technology, so we took up Outreach Campaigns to reach out to the mass. Already we have covered more than a thousand miles and touched more than a hundred thousand souls. We hope to touch a million more.

It’s been so good so far. Let’s pray that the future will be better.
