Its a story about two brothers from Mumbai, India who made fortunes by shear perseverance and hard work through the one and half decade of their life. Divyank Turakhia and Bhavin Turakhia are among the countries leading business men and featuring in the countries richest persons.
Born in middle class family, they spent their childhood in Juhu and Andheri, Mumbai. Being programming enthusiasts, both the brother built a stock market simulation game to monitor stock market prices at a very young age of 13. With the ever growing enthusiasm towards computers and coding, their regular school going routine was getting hampered. Both the brothers used to do coding all day long without going to college. This helped them to gain tremendous grip on coding and allowed them to plan to float their own business. But they didn't had initial capital to start their business.
With a loan of Rs.25000/- from their father, they started a new company called Directi in 1998 which offers website names to companies and also providing internet services to Indian companies. Eventually they have launched 11 other startups under Directi Group which has over 1000 employees and 10 million customers around the world. The Turakhia brothers also started Media Net as a competition to Google's Ad-Sense which is famous among lot of international ad-tech companies. The Media Net has its presence in New York, Los Angeles, Dubai, Zurich, Mumbai and Bengaluru which has around 800 employees and earned around 1500 crores last year. In 2016 they sold the Media Net ad company to a Chinese group for $900 million.
Turakhia brothers don't have an engineering degree, yet they both were excellent coders and built such a large empire on their own from scratch without anybody's assistance.
