Being an entrepreneur is a problem. Especially for the environment.
Everytime an entrepreneur appears with a new idea, with a new project, with a new way of looking at his/her business, in addition to fighting the inherent uncertainty of any enterprise, the main problem he or she has is listening to the huge rosary of imbecilities that his/her evironment speak, supposedly to protect him/her.
Because the main questions come from their closest family and friends. Which almost always they are unsuccessful, routine, vegetables, established professionals, gears of the establishment.
People who never made a business, or who think they know about business because they work in a company, because they have an accounting or legal study, or because they read the newspaper a lot and know a lot about macroeconomics. Never have they felt the "little bug" that bites your belly when a big contract is coming for your product or when it is about to take shape some project in which you have been fighting stick and stick for a long time.
Believing that somebody can give advice to an entrepreneur because he is, for example, an accountant, is like telling a scorer how you should leave the clothes in the dressing room. Everyone knows that the scorer is not going to make more or less points by the way he left the clothes in the dressing room.
However, everyone thinks that he will "help" the entrepreneur with his wisdom.
A special chapter deserves the puppets that speak on the radio and TV or write in the newspapers on economics. They never left behind a computer looking at graphics that they do not understand. But they speak as if they knew what will happen if the price of oil continues to fall. All speak or write receiving orders from a superior, that in turn receives orders from some other superior, which in turn ... And they call themselves, "independent" media.
That's why my advice is that you do not listen to anyone.
If you are convinced of your idea, your project, your innovation, you have 50% of the way done. The other 50% is pure uncertainty. But it was already uncertain before you had the idea, so things do not change very much. It will not go better or worse for what happens with the Central Bank policies. It will be better or worse for the guts you put on the thing, and because you get up immediately and without crying every time you fall. All depends on you. All. There is nothing that depends on the external scenario, as many failed people believe. Because the scenario is the same for everyone, and in the same scenario, there are companies that succeed and others that fail. So there must be something else, right?
There are people who were born to leave a mark on the earth and others to fulfill a function within a moldy and obsolete gear, believing that in this way they "do things well". The latter are slaves without knowing it and the only mark they leave on earth is that of the form of a crawling worm. No one wants to see you grow, everyone wants you to fail, because that is the best way to take care of the status quo. And as the chances of you failing are very high, when you fail, if you fail, they will say, "You saw, I warned you." If you succeed, you destroy a lot of power structures that were around you, and you modify the "organization chart of your environment", so the system will reject your venture to protect itself, as do the antibodies of your organism when a bacterium appears with a desire to modify your chemical composition.
So, if someone tells you that your idea is a failure, or that you are not old enough to be an entrepreneur (some believe it's a matter of age!), Or that you have a family to support and that you can not play at entrepreneur, or wait for the Central Bank reserves to improve, or ..., please do not listen to it. Show him that he is wrong. And if you do not get it right, go to the next idea / project / business / madness. If not, what will you tell to your children and grandchildren? That you had the entrepreneur spirit but you did prefer to do the same thing in an office every day because it was safer?
The road is very hard, full of obstacles, disappointments, anxieties and tensions of all kinds. People and even friends that you thought would never leave you will be left on the road. If a company does not have financial problems, it is because it is handled by moorings, and the possibilities of growth are practically nil. All companies have financial problems, to a lesser or greater extent, especially start-ups. But not anyone can resist. And those who you thought would never fail you, paff !, leave the ship in the middle of the storm. And you have to continue, because there is something inside you that tells you that the idea is great and that only you understand it in its entirety.
Entrepreneurship is not a tool to make money and achieve financial independence that allows you to one day stop working to scratch on the beach. Entrepreneurship is a lifestyle that comes as an imprint in some and that does not go away with any remedy. Therefore, the news can be good or bad, but the truth is that you will never have stability and you will always feel dissatisfied. And you will always have financial problems because you will be investing permanently no matter how hard your accountant tells you not to do it and your lawyer tells you that you have to ask permission first. Do not listen to them!
If you do not do what your heart and your intuition tell you, if you do not live according to your rules, the price will be your soul.
