THE RECEPTION OFFICE (First Edition)

What is RECEPTION OFFICE:

Is a room set aside closed to the entrance of an organization with the motive of one there to be receiving or attending to visitors.

The reception office can also be known as the reception room or reception area. This can be furnished in a way it can be attractive in order to make visitors feel relax or comfortable while waiting for the officer(s) they wish to see or visit.

BELOW ARE SOME OF THE THINGS THAT CAN BE SEEN OR FOUNDS IN THE RECEPTION OFFICE:

(1) Table and chairs.
(2) Wall clock.
(3) Magazines.
(4) Visitors book.
(5) Newspaper.
(6) Television.
(7) Calendar.
(8) Telephone and Telephone switchboard, etc.

Who is a RECEPTIONIST:

A receptionist is one who is employed by an organization to receive and attached to visitors who have business to do with an/the organization or who might want to see an officer for an official or personal purpose.
I can also say that, the receptionist is the ambassador of an organization.

SOME OF THE IMPORTANCE AND/OR DUTIES OF A RECEPTIONIST:

(1) It is the duty of the receptionist to give courteous or good attention to all visitors.

(2) The receptionist is in charge of keeping visitors book or log of callers book.

(3) Receptionist is one who books an appointment with visitors when the officers are not around or busy.

(4) The receptionist is one who receives visitors to the organization.

(5) The receptionist is one who is to receive incoming hand mails, parcels and other important documents.

(6) The receptionist at-times makes traveling arrangements for the executives.

(7) The receptionist is one who answers and makes telephone call no behalf of the organization when need arises or may be.

(8) The receptionist directs visitors to an appropriate officers and department they wish to go, etc....
