Look out, 'swamp rat menace': Garret Graves' nutria eradication bill is headed to president

The federal government currently budgets $4 million each year to support nutria hunting and trapping programs. The bill would make $12 million available each year until 2025.

Interesting article about the ongoing battle to stop the spread of nutria throughout the country. I know that nutria is a big problem in Louisiana as it eats the plants of the wetlands non stop. And the rodents bread too fast to be controllable, the natural predators can't keep up. I can't see how this wouldn't pass, it's such a small amount of money in the big picture of things in Washington.
