I'm getting sick of all the faux environmentalism I come in contact with on a daily basis. Chances are the device you are reading this on was shipped halfway around the world, along with solar panels, wind generators & batteries from unregulated China. These goods were shipped on superfreighters, which have greater emissions than all the automobiles in the world combined. These ships run on bunker oil, one of the dirtiest fuels, with no emissions standards. Imo, the manufacturing/disposal processes of the goods these ships transport are far worse for the environment vs burning oil.
People are concerned with the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere, not realizing that CO2 is not even classified as a pollutant. Water vapor & methane gases have a far greater impact on warming the atmosphere. CO2 is also used by plants to flourish.
Imo, central banks & globalism are the greatest threats to the environment. Think about how much less pollution there would be without debt based fractional reserve banking & if people bought goods produced domestically/locally instead of globally. I believe the only true environmentalists are those who grow/raise there own food, don't burn fuel & who don't use modern medicine. The Amish & some non-civilized tribes are the true environmentalists.
I do not consider myself an environmentalist & neither should you. Imo, modern gas/diesel automobiles are probably better for the environment vs the manufacturing/disposal process of batteries for electric vehicles. I believe electric vehicles will overcome gas/diesel vehicles, once the technology for batteries advances & oil becomes unaffordable.
I do take care of the environment when I can, but am certainly not am environmentalist either. Today many people have to be something and that includes having a label. Environmentalist is only a name but means different things to different people. A lot of people like the thought of being considered something if only in name.
