Germans to Ban Combustible Engine by 2030

in environment •  8 years ago

Europeans take climate change more seriously than the US. Even by German standards, this is a very ambitious plan as it bans all diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles and only allows zero-emission ones. This was a bipartisan effort and the Bundestag passed a non-binding resolution encouraging the EU to do the same.

Since we're living in the future, this is expected, as most cars will be green and driver-less (Nikola Motor is working on its 1,200-mile range driverless truck). Kinda stings for car makers and those who drive for a living! I SEE YOU LYFT!
