What a great post! I never understood the need for all the extraneous food packaging. As a kid, you went to the market and filled your little basket with produce and they packed in a paper bag. You went to the butcher and they wrapped your meat in paper. We reused bread bags, any kind of plastic container and glass jar. You burned waste once a week in the barrel.
