EOS distribution app with Chrome / Metamask configuration not loading. Solution? Imtoken!

I guess you are hitting my post because you are like me not able to connect to the EOS distribution App with your Chrome / Metamask configuration.

After yesterday the whole day being unable to reach the distribution App, nothing worked... I tried everything yesterday:

-I tried to use the 'Custom RPC' > "http://rpc.makerdao.com:7777" and switched to the Custom RPC network. It just kept on searching for a network. Didn't work.

-I uninstalled Metamask from Chrome and reinstalled it and unlocked my account. I all different orders. Didn't work.
Closed browser and opened it. Didn't work.

-I did not try the parity node option, I am not technical enough for that....

So what now?
Just keep on trying you say? I have better things to do with my time!

But yes! I succeeded this early morning (but it's no different than all I tried yesterday):

I removed Metamask in Chrome/extensions completely and downloaded it again.
I unlocked it and launched the distribution app from https://eos.io/instructions. Did not refreshed the existing url.

After 15 min of letting my PC go for it, I suddenly came in. The app worked extremely slow though, and I had to get to work. Aaarghhh.
Now at the office try to get in, and.... doesn't work.

The solution: friend of mine at the office told the Imtoken app on your mobile device works fine. And that is what I tried this morning. There are some youtube video's about the setup and it is quite easy. One of the tutorials I found:

10 minutes and I joined today's offering! My friend showed how to claim this morning... 5 minutes and the tokens were in.

So the answer if you want to get some EOS tokens today? Imtoken!

question is how do you claim your tokens from previous offerings? I was part of the 2nd and 3rd offering and I havent been able to claim the second offering since all of yesterday and today, I installed a parity and was successfully able to log into the app but it automatically put me on a new account so my tokens are missing :(

I just hope the original one works at some point so I can claim and get out of this process because its far to flaky for my liking.

I know when you claim through the Metamask, you can claim all previous periods. Just restore your account and once the distribution app is accessible you'll be fine.

I hope you are right good sir, becuase there's a hell of alot of tokens there and would hate to have lost that investment, The EOS team seem to not have set up any support desk either to assist users with these issues, the amount of money they making it's quite sad they not more prepared.
